It was already afternoon already. The sun that seeped from the curtains made this more evident and prominent.

Mum had been explaining this so-called history all these while long. From how expressive she was on that issue, there was a hidden reason behind it all.

Here was I, sitting like a dutiful daughter, listening to mum, because I needed to know about my bloodlines.
