Chapter 34 - "You're in danger."

Amelia’s point of view:

“Too bad you aren’t me,” I shouted at him but his words got me thinking, will I really end up choosing him?

I shook my head and pulled the bed sheets off me to get up but a pair of hands stopped me midway. “What are you doing? Do you need something? Let me know, I’ll bring it for you. You don’t have to get up.”

“No, I’m okay.” I shook my head and proceeded to get up.

“No, you’re not. You need to rest.” He said quite sternly.

“Alejandro, I’m fine.” I met his eyes. “I feel a lot better.” I reassured him.

“But still, why don’t you rest some more?”

“Alejandro –”

“Amelia.”

I sighed in defeat, my shoulders sagged. “I need –”

“Yeah, tell me what you need. I’ll bring it for you.” He seemed satisfied that I’d stopped arguing with him.

“I need to pee.” I told him, avoiding his gaze as my cheeks heated up in embarrassment.

Alejandro quickly averted his eyes elsewhere and stepped back to give me some space to get up as he rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly.
