CHAPTER 6
Lifting the two pillows on her bed, Aurelia’s gaze darted about in search of something.
“I could have sworn I had it on my neck even after I fell,” she muttered. “Where could it have been? The forest? Did I lose it while I was being chased, or...?”
The sound of the door closing jolted her into a proper standing position as she turned sharply to face the entrance.
Labina stopped in her tracks, her hands holding a tray tightly. “Huh… Your Highness?”
Aurelia swallowed hard. She knew it looked like she was searching for something, or perhaps stealing, but she did not want Labina to get the wrong idea.
Before she could explain, Labina was quick to ask, “Are you looking for something, Your Highness?” Her smile was gentle as she gave Aurelia time to respond.
“Umm…” Aurelia’s gaze darted everywhere. And when they settled back on her, she finally spoke up. “Did you see it?”
“What is it that Her Highness seeks?” she asked, keeping her posture straight and never failing in her duty.
“I…”
Labina gave her a quizzical look, waiting. Aurelia lowered her gaze, but recalling her position, she lifted her head. “My necklace. Did you see it when you rescued me?”
Aurelia sighed, not expecting anything, but when she nodded, she stunned the princess.
“Yes. Did you see it?” Aurelia asked once more., her voice filled with hope.
“Yes,” she stated with a smile, and she gently placed the tray on the table near her bed. “I kept it safe in your drawer for you.” Her gaze hinted at checking the dressing table behind her, and Aurelia did. As soon as she opened it, her eyes landed on the necklace.
A gasp so sweet fell off her lips as she instantly picked it up, shut her eyes briefly, like one connecting with the necklace and stopped when she felt a presence behind her.
Aurelia turned, her eyes meeting with Labina. “May I?” she offered.
Although Aurelia hesitated, she finally gave the necklace to Labina to help her wear it. Once they were done, she turned to face the mirror to admire herself.
“It’s the only thing I had from my earliest memory,” Aurelia mumbled.
“I’m glad because it was given to you by your mother,” Labina informed her. She noticed the look of shock on Aurelia’s face, and as much as she wished to speak more about the past to her, she couldn’t.
“Your Highness, we need to get you ready. The celebrations are about to start.”
Labina walked over to her closet, bringing out a beautiful pearl-designed blue dress, when her eyes caught sight of the uneasy look on Aurelia’s face. “To celebrate your return, princess, it is important.”

Aurelia heaved a deep breath, inhaling gently as the softness of the breeze whistled through her hair. Her eyes sparkled as soon as she opened them, taking in the scene before her.
Earlier on, when Labina finished attending to her and left to get her crown, Aurelia took a quick stroll out to the balcony. Ever since her arrival, she has remained cooked up in the room, but tonight, when she heard the giggling of some young maidens, she felt the urge to step out.
The scenery displayed in front of her was nothing short of breathtaking, and the sheer thought that this was her original home left her smiling from ear to ear at finally having a place to call home.
‘It may take some getting used to, but at least it is better than where I grew up.’ Her mood changed the second she recalled the memory of Ryland and Eretria in bed.
‘No, get those scumbags out of your mind, Relia. You have a chance to start again.’ Encouraging herself, she blinked back the tears that stung her eyes and focused on the brightly lit streets in front of her when her eyes caught sight of something from afar.
Her heart skipped a beat as her ears blocked out all the noise around her. Aurelia’s jaw went agape as her stomach twisted, staring at those familiar red stripes.
“It can’t be,” she muttered, and before anything else, she dashed out of her room as quickly as her feet could take her.
A couple of minutes later, she found herself on the lane where she caught sight of him—pitch black hair that mirrored the night sky with golden highlights, adding sparks to the allure it gave, and a mask filled with mystery.
“Where is he?” she asked no one in particular, whipping her head from side to side in search of him. “He was..." she swallowed. “I could have sworn he was standing here.”
Her brows furrowed, her chest rising and falling with every deep breath she took while her mind wandered about.
Suddenly she saw a silhuotte take a turn to the left, and without further thought, Aurelia dashed in the direction, ready to catch up with him, when suddenly she bumped into someone.
“Oh my goodness, watch where you are." Labina’s words hung on her lips when she took a step back, lifting the glass box containing Aurelia’s crown and preventing an apparent crash as her eyes landed on the culprit.
A soft gasp escaped her lips upon realization. “Your Highness.”
She took a quick bow, brought down her hands, and was about to speak when she caught sight of Aurelia’s frown and haphazard state.
Her wavy hair was tossing about, covering a part of her face as she hunched over, catching her breath.
“You do not look good,” she finalised, watching Aurelia straighten her posture and seal her lips. “Wait,” Labina continued, not giving her a chance to speak, “don’t tell me you were bored and took a walk then got lost."
The last thing Aurelia wanted was to divulge her secrets to her. Taking a quick decision, she nodded.
Labina sighed deeply. She was glad she had been the one to see her and not her brothers.
“Please, the event will begin soon. We need to get you back, and..." she stopped speaking when her eyes took a quick glance at the princess. “let’s just go. I’ve got your crown.”
*******
About an hour later, Labina was done fixing up her hair and reapplying a touch to her make-up. Unfortunately, the celebrations had begun, and Aurelia had to hurry.
As soon as she arrived, the big doors were pushed open, welcoming her presence. The grand hall was lavishly decorated, as were the guests, lords, and other important dignitaries present.
Amidst everyone, Aurelia’s eyes quickly caught distinguished seats rising above others and another with similar golden and silver designs, slightly lower than the first three.
On the three throne-like seats, her brothers sat looking majestic when Kieran beckoned on her, rising to his feet to welcome her appearance.
Aurelia’s cheeks were tainted red, feeling so many eyes on her. And then she did something she soon regretted as her eyes swept through the room, only to stop when she saw a man wearing a crown.
As if on cue, he lifted his eyes, locking his gaze with her. At the same time, his lips parted, gasping briefly, and the next word that came out of his mouth left Aurelia speechless.
“My betrothed.”

************CHAPTER 7Aurelia felt a mysterious hush in the crowd as she inadvertently locked her gaze with the mysterious figure, his presence illuminated beneath the resplendent chandelier, and for a second, it seemed like everyone else in the room had vanished. His dark hair, lustrous as midnight, was expertly styled, and golden highlights caught the warm glow of the crystal light, creating an otherworldly halo around him.“My betrothed.”Her brows furrowed slightly when she read his lips and the words he voiced seemed to have rendered her speechless as her eyes remained locked on his face. On the other hand, her brothers who had no idea what was going on, followed the line of her sight to get an understanding, while Kieran closed the gap between them, a sweet smile on his lips as he held out his hand to her. “Welcome, sis. We’ve been waiting.”Only after this did Aurelia peel her gaze from the handsome man seated opposite them and acknowledge her brother’s smile with one of her
************* CHAPTER 8 Aurelia panicked when she saw the young man at his side handing him a scroll. From the looks of things, the second he mouthed the words, ‘my betrothed’ he already planned for this encounter, securing her portrait. ‘Damn those Walters.’ She cussed inwardly. If they hadn’t been ardent about sending her instead of their stupid greedy daughter, Eretria, she wouldn’t be in this situation right now. Her head hung low, unable to look at Sloan, for fear that his words would come true. It was Leo who took the portrait and without wasting a second, he unrolled it, peering inside. “What? Is it tr…” Ivan’s words hung on his lips. Of course, it was true. The Lycan King of Lythione never lies. Aurelia shut her eyes. She did not want to see her brother’s shocked and disappointed expressions. They would feel she was the one lying. “Now that you have seen I am indeed speaking the truth,” Sloan began, “I hope I won’t be looked at like a pervert King or something.” He chuc
*************CHAPTER 9“Foolery!” Sloan rose to his feet, his eyes glaring daggers at everyone as his chest rose and fell with great gusto. Aurelia shuddered. She expected him to be angry, but not to this point. “King Sloan,” Kieran enunciated, his shaky voice betraying the calm situation he was trying to propose. He hated that his sister was seen as an object that could be used at will. Sloan on the other hand was enraged at being tricked. “How dare those scumbags!”Ivan’s face was void of any expression while Leo felt pained, occasionally stealing glances from his sister.“But I…” she was about to reveal the whole truth to them when she decided against it. Seeing the redness of their eyes, Aurelia could tell that would not in any way be a bold move. Who knew what hell would break lose? And how would the Lycan King take it that his betrothed was not untouched? In hopes of sparing her brain any more trauma, she shook her head, changing her statement. “I ran away and encountered
***************CHAPTER 10 Sloan snapped his head to the side. How could they? No. Not after everything he had been through for this. They had no fucking idea. His crown. His love. His—No.He narrowed his eyes to Kieran. “Excuse me?”Together, all three men stood in front of their sister, protectively. “Aurelia is a princess of this kingdom, not a substitute bride for a better’s promise,” Leo defended. Sloan scoffed. They had to be kidding. “A deal is a deal,” he refuted. “Then take Walter’s daughter, Eritrea,” Ivan voiced, his lips curling up in a sinister smile.“I don’t want that conniving greedy bitch,” he hissed.“Too bad,” Leo said with a shrug of his shoulders.“If you are worried about your betrothal gifts, we will pay twice more. But our sister has gone through so much. I can’t allow a loveless marriage for her,” Kieran dictated.“You think it is that simple?” Sloan argued.“Yes. It is. There is no engagement.”Turning to face Ivan, Sloan questioned him. “Shouldn’t that
*************CHAPTER 11For a moment there, she sniffled, inhaling the strong masculine pinewood and lavender scent that assaulted her nostrils almost instantly.Aurelia staggered back but was prevented from falling by those pair of strong arms while muttering some inaudible words.Looking down at her, her saviour couldn't help the smile that crept up his lips. "Pfft." It wasn't until she heard him muffle a laugh that Aurelia peered up to see who it was."Ivan."To say she was shocked was an understatement. If anyone would engage in such, she expected it to be Leo and not him. He was always too serious. Her gaze trailed from his face to her left arm to rest on the book he held. No wonder they bumped into each other. He was too transfixed with what he was reading, causing their collision."Hello, sis. Where are you running off to?"'Again with the questions.' Aurelia mentally noted and rolled her eyes."Nowhere." Before she could think of an answer for him, Labina blurted from behind
**************CHAPTER 12The days drifted by fast, soon it was already the seventh day. Her brothers had been good to her, making sure she had everything she needed even without asking. As cool as her life here was, something else sparked in Aurelia, tugging at her chest. There was a huge concern in her mind. She knew behind those charming smiles her brother showed, worry hid in the wrinkled lines at the corner of their eyes. It was all linked to her outing days ago. Aurelia stepped out of her chambers, taking a stroll down the palace halls to the garden, her light blue gown sweeping the floors so gracefully. Ever since the day she went scouting, she found out more than she could have wished to know. Sadly her kingdom wasn’t in the best of state and were in need of help due to the drought that affected their crops that year. It was what led to the transaction between the brothers and the Lycan King in the first place.Without being told, she knew this marriage alliance would do t
**************CHAPTER 1"Mmmmh… urgh!"The sensation flowing between her spread legs as he rammed his thick length into her, forced Aurelia's eyes to pry open, and a moan, so inevitable, escaped her parted lips when her back arched on their own accord."Fuck…!" The man on top of her clenched his teeth in raw pleasure when her insides squeezed him tight. The sound of flesh slamming against flesh could be heard in the room as he picked up his pace, thrusting into her like a century-old beast that had grown hungry, only to have its thirst satiated by the woman beneath him."You're so… fucking tight! My God!" he groaned louder this time.Aurelia's eyes were blurry. Her brain was muddled, and she could hardly comprehend her surroundings except for the constant penetration of a man's dick destroying her womb. How she ended up in bed with a total stranger, she hardly knew. Her head spun uncontrollably. It felt as though she may pass out for the second time, but knowing the risk involved, sh
************CHAPTER 2The look in Eretria’s eyes clearly told Aurelia the latter wasn’t joking. Taking a step back, she glanced around the room, her eyes locking on Ryland who was beginning to change his form.“Y-You’re kidding me, right?”Not knowing when she blurted out those words, she took another step back, both hands spread to her side. "Eretria, stop this.”“Stop?” she scoffed, “sorry, I can’t let you go. I’ll become the Luna to the Lycan King and you…” Her lips curled into a lopsided smile. “You’ll be gone—dead.”Suddenly, a low growl tore Aurelia’s attention from Eretria when she saw Ryland had succeeded in shifting. With no warning, the latter leapt, aiming for her head as his sharp fangs glistened under the moonlight.Aurelia’s heart tightened in her chest as her feet reflexively moved to the side, causing her to crash into the nearby door.GROWL!Her heart thudded widely as her fingers grabbed the next thing she could and she immediately got to her feet.“Don't be frighte
