CHAPTER 12
The days drifted by fast, soon it was already the seventh day. Her brothers had been good to her, making sure she had everything she needed even without asking.
As cool as her life here was, something else sparked in Aurelia, tugging at her chest.
There was a huge concern in her mind. She knew behind those charming smiles her brother showed, worry hid in the wrinkled lines at the corner of their eyes.
It was all linked to her outing days ago.
Aurelia stepped out of her chambers, taking a stroll down the palace halls to the garden, her light blue gown sweeping the floors so gracefully. Ever since the day she went scouting, she found out more than she could have wished to know.
Sadly her kingdom wasn’t in the best of state and were in need of help due to the drought that affected their crops that year. It was what led to the transaction between the brothers and the Lycan King in the first place.
Without being told, she knew this marriage alliance would do them more good than backing out, but the question remained, was she ready?
Since marriage was an option, her mind was preoccupied with other means to solve the problem in the kingdom.
‘If only I can be of better use.’ Her shoulders dropped, a deep breath leaving her lips as the wind tousled her hair behind her.
While she had those thoughts, her eyes caught sight of the familiar black hair with golden highlights and her breathing stopped.
Badum! Badum!
At first, she thought it was the Lycan King but the second he turned, her gaze locked on his mask.
It was him—the man whom she had been sent to his bed on her night of escape.
‘Bloody hell!’ Aurelia gasped.
Although he had a mask on, hiding his true face from everyone, Aurelia recognized him in an instant.
The feeling that rushed through her body coupled with the memory of his masked face as his dick drilled into her, did little or nothing to hide him from her.
Understanding the implication it would have on her reputation, should word get out about them, Aurelia decided to speak to him.
It was best they agreed on never speaking about the issue. If he complied, she planned on not accusing him of rape.
She shut her eyes involuntarily. As much as she wished to feel repulsed by the act, Aurelia found herself feeling strange when she saw him. Something stirred inside her. It wasn't a bad feeling but a certain longing.
She shook her head, erasing all the thoughts that ran through her mind.
Why would she long for him? Was she that needy?
“Calm down, Aurelia. It is necessary.” After prep-talking herself, she took to her heels, getting ready to chase after him.
'Should I call out to him?’ she wondered.
‘No. What if he runs away?’ she questioned. ‘Urgh, onely one way to…’ Aurelia's breathing hitched when she saw him halt and slow down.
“What is he...?” she barely had time to question herself when she saw him move again, this time, his pace increasing.
'Shit. He must have sensed me.’ she concluded and increased her pace. No sooner had she done that with her eyes fixed on him when one of her brothers blocked her path.
“Hold your horses, sis!” Leo's chirpy voice drove into her senses and her body obeyed, quickly preventing another collision like she had with Ivan.
“Leo!” Her voice sounded shocked. She tried her best not to look worried, masking the lines of furrow on her forehead and put up a facade she hoped he would buy.
“Where were you off to in a hurry?” Her eyes darted past him quickly, in search of the stranger. She discovered he had left, with no trace to track him.
'Shit.' she cursed inwardly. ‘Good job, Leo.’ If he could listen to her mental grunt, he’d have facepalmed.
“Lia?” A line was drawn on his forehead, his brows creasing slightly. His worry was evident while studying her. “Are you okay? Where were you off to in such a hurry?” Leo asked, bombarding her with questions without extending an opening for an answer.
“When he noticed what he did, he apologized and took a step back.
Aurelia shifted on her foot. Her head now hanging low. How was she going to answer this question?
He wouldn't understand.
“Wait.” Her ears perked up as she lifted her head slowly. “Do not tell me you were trying to locate the study and got lost?” Leo chuckled. He must have felt great at figuring the not-so-obvious.
Not that she minded. It was a perfect excuse to mask the truth.
“Well.” Aurelia blinked her round big eyes at him, using her cuteness and his tender love for her to her advantage.
“Tsk. You should have asked Labina or send for me. We already lost you once. No ne plans on doing so again,” Leo chided.
“I’m sorry.”
“Don’t get me wrong. I’m not scolding you.” She shot him a mild glare. He was doing the exact opposite if that’s what he thought. “Okay, amybe a little but i want you to rely on me,” he added.
“Fine. Why were you looking for me?” She did not have time for his childish gimmicks. Urelia believed if she left now, she might catch up to her mystery stranger.
“Don’t you know?”
“Know what?”
“Lia, it’s seven days today. Kieran and the others are expecting you in the study. You need to give your answer.”
Horror filled her eyes. She forgot the timing. “Shit.”
Leo facepalmed. “I can’t believe you forgot! The Lycan King departs tomorrow. You cannot keep him waiting for long. He is not a patient man.”
Just before Leo could feel her ears with more lessons, Aurelia cut in. “He is the one in need of a Luna. He either waits for my decision or he can leave.”
She hated when her every action had to be to please someone. Kieran had given her a choice and she planned on choosing it, even if it meant defying the king.
Aurelia had expected Leo to yammer on and prepared her mind to block out his words. To her surprise, a proud smile found its way onto his peculiarly handsome face.
“My sister is feisty. Good. Very good.”
“Enh?”
“Nothing more to lecture you on, sis. Let’s go.”
Pivoting, he led the way to the study, leaving his sister to do the next best thing—follow him.
Deep down, Aurelia felt conflicted. She had not yet found a way to help her people. She planned on finding one and proving to the Lycan King they did not need his help. However, time wasn’t on her hands.
‘But the masked man?’ she hesitated in facing the opposite direction from where she was going.
‘Wait, considering he was leaving, should I still be worried?’
Judging from the path he took, it was clear he was leaving their small kingdom.
If that was true, there was every possibility that her secret was safe. Earlier on, she asked around about him but each time she mentioned his distinct features, many likened it him to the lycan king.
“He’s not.”
“Hmm?”
Aurelia whipped her gaze up at the owner of the unfamiliar voice when Leo’s half-yell pulled her back.
“The Lycan King is here.”
“Oh fuck~”
**************CHAPTER 1"Mmmmh… urgh!"The sensation flowing between her spread legs as he rammed his thick length into her, forced Aurelia's eyes to pry open, and a moan, so inevitable, escaped her parted lips when her back arched on their own accord."Fuck…!" The man on top of her clenched his teeth in raw pleasure when her insides squeezed him tight. The sound of flesh slamming against flesh could be heard in the room as he picked up his pace, thrusting into her like a century-old beast that had grown hungry, only to have its thirst satiated by the woman beneath him."You're so… fucking tight! My God!" he groaned louder this time.Aurelia's eyes were blurry. Her brain was muddled, and she could hardly comprehend her surroundings except for the constant penetration of a man's dick destroying her womb. How she ended up in bed with a total stranger, she hardly knew. Her head spun uncontrollably. It felt as though she may pass out for the second time, but knowing the risk involved, sh
************CHAPTER 2The look in Eretria’s eyes clearly told Aurelia the latter wasn’t joking. Taking a step back, she glanced around the room, her eyes locking on Ryland who was beginning to change his form.“Y-You’re kidding me, right?”Not knowing when she blurted out those words, she took another step back, both hands spread to her side. "Eretria, stop this.”“Stop?” she scoffed, “sorry, I can’t let you go. I’ll become the Luna to the Lycan King and you…” Her lips curled into a lopsided smile. “You’ll be gone—dead.”Suddenly, a low growl tore Aurelia’s attention from Eretria when she saw Ryland had succeeded in shifting. With no warning, the latter leapt, aiming for her head as his sharp fangs glistened under the moonlight.Aurelia’s heart tightened in her chest as her feet reflexively moved to the side, causing her to crash into the nearby door.GROWL!Her heart thudded widely as her fingers grabbed the next thing she could and she immediately got to her feet.“Don't be frighte
**************CHAPTER 3Arriving at Ryland’s building, the three werewolves sent by Eretria lowered their heads as they delivered the news to her.“Did you finish the job?” Ryland asked, clutching his bandaged stomach with his left hand. Before either of the werewolves could speak, Eretria stepped forward, her gaze sharp as she accessed them. “No.”All three heads snapped up to look at her when she responded. How did she know? They pondered, but no one dared speak.“If they did not finish the job, they wouldn’t have had the audacity to return,” she stated boldly while lifting her chin and staring down at them in an imposing manner.Although her father served as the Alpha of the pack's advisor, most men feared and adored her for her beauty and ruthlessness.“Their return simply meant they did. Now,” she lifted a brow, waiting for their report, “what news have you? How was my sister’s death?”One of the werewolves was about to answer when she cut asking, “Was it gruesome?”“It most def
**************CHAPTER 4 - Her Triplet Brothers~Silver Crest Pack~Aurelia slowly opened her eyes, whilst she was greeted by the soft glow of golden sunlight filtering through a delicate, silk curtain. At first, her eyes squinted slightly from the light, unable to grasp the reality as she assumed she was meant to be dead. But when her sight adjusted to the penetrating light, giving her the ability to access her surroundings, Aurelia’s eyes cautiously took in the grandeur of the unfamiliar room she was in.The chamber was a symphony of wealth, adorned with fanciful furniture, gilded accents, and rich tapestries. The air carried a faint fragrance of roses, whilst the canopy bed beneath her was draped in regal fabrics, and the pillows cradled her like clouds—a kind of comfort she knew lacked prior. This was definitely not her home. For a moment, Aurelia remained dazed—she wanted to imagine that this was her room, that maybe everything that happened was nothing more than a figment of
**************CHAPTER 5Right after Labina left, Aurelia took a deep breath. She had no clue what to do currently. These men were determined and believed she was their sister. However, there was no recollection on her part about who she really was.But if all Kieran said was true, it simply meant all her suffering was just…Aurelia winced when she folded her legs and her mind raced back to that night as well as the pleasure and pain that coursed through her body. Seeming only like yesterday, it had already been two nights since that incident happened."Curse you for what you…" her words hung on her lips when Labina walked in with a deep bow."Princess Ali…" she cut her words, recalling Leo's stern warning after they exited the room previously. The last triplet could sense his brother not wanting to overload Aurelia's memory which was why he asked for her name. As such, Leo made her not forget to call her by her given name. But how could she forget, when he perfectly asked in his usua
************* CHAPTER 6 Lifting the two pillows on her bed, Aurelia’s gaze darted about in search of something. “I could have sworn I had it on my neck even after I fell,” she muttered. “Where could it have been? The forest? Did I lose it while I was being chased, or...?” The sound of the door closing jolted her into a proper standing position as she turned sharply to face the entrance. Labina stopped in her tracks, her hands holding a tray tightly. “Huh… Your Highness?” Aurelia swallowed hard. She knew it looked like she was searching for something, or perhaps stealing, but she did not want Labina to get the wrong idea. Before she could explain, Labina was quick to ask, “Are you looking for something, Your Highness?” Her smile was gentle as she gave Aurelia time to respond. “Umm…” Aurelia’s gaze darted everywhere. And when they settled back on her, she finally spoke up. “Did you see it?” “What is it that Her Highness seeks?” she asked, keeping her posture straight and never f
************CHAPTER 7Aurelia felt a mysterious hush in the crowd as she inadvertently locked her gaze with the mysterious figure, his presence illuminated beneath the resplendent chandelier, and for a second, it seemed like everyone else in the room had vanished. His dark hair, lustrous as midnight, was expertly styled, and golden highlights caught the warm glow of the crystal light, creating an otherworldly halo around him.“My betrothed.”Her brows furrowed slightly when she read his lips and the words he voiced seemed to have rendered her speechless as her eyes remained locked on his face. On the other hand, her brothers who had no idea what was going on, followed the line of her sight to get an understanding, while Kieran closed the gap between them, a sweet smile on his lips as he held out his hand to her. “Welcome, sis. We’ve been waiting.”Only after this did Aurelia peel her gaze from the handsome man seated opposite them and acknowledge her brother’s smile with one of her
************* CHAPTER 8 Aurelia panicked when she saw the young man at his side handing him a scroll. From the looks of things, the second he mouthed the words, ‘my betrothed’ he already planned for this encounter, securing her portrait. ‘Damn those Walters.’ She cussed inwardly. If they hadn’t been ardent about sending her instead of their stupid greedy daughter, Eretria, she wouldn’t be in this situation right now. Her head hung low, unable to look at Sloan, for fear that his words would come true. It was Leo who took the portrait and without wasting a second, he unrolled it, peering inside. “What? Is it tr…” Ivan’s words hung on his lips. Of course, it was true. The Lycan King of Lythione never lies. Aurelia shut her eyes. She did not want to see her brother’s shocked and disappointed expressions. They would feel she was the one lying. “Now that you have seen I am indeed speaking the truth,” Sloan began, “I hope I won’t be looked at like a pervert King or something.” He chuc
