Andriel took a few steps forward, fully entering the dining room. His eyes locked onto his mother’s, waiting for her to speak. When she stayed silent, he pressed again, his tone sharp but controlled.

“Who do you want dead, Mother? Me?” he asked, sliding his hands into his pockets.
