ALPHA KAI
"What the hell?" I muttered under my breath as her eyelashes fluttered a bit like someone who was about falling asleep. The gag is, she's supposed to be dead. Not sleeping, not awake, Dead!! "Arya?" I called softly as I mustered up the courage to walk close to her and she fluttered her lashes a little bit more before shutting it completely. What is this, some epic kind of joke? I ran my fingers in front of her face but there was no sign of life and that left me more confused than ever. "I know you're awake. You just opened up your eyes now." I stated, my heart filled with my doubts that I wasn't seeing things. Was I imagining things? "Flicker your finger if you can hear me." I stared back at the door and back to her. Something really ominous and frustrating was going on and the fact I didn't know what it was is really infuriating. Another knock came on the door almost immediately and I swallowed hard as I kept my eyes on her while tiptoeing to the door. "Who's there?" I questioned as I opened the door swiftly and was met with the inquisitive of Bria. "Alpha, you look appalled." She simply stated while I looked around, staring at her suspiciously. "Did you come here before?" I questioned and shook her head in negativity while staring at me like I had suddenly lost it. "No, I'm just coming here." She answered straightforwardly still staring at me and I tilted my head in a questioning manner with raised brows. "I just wanted to let you know that the ally's you called on their favour to help find Alpha Kavinsky is here already." She announced and I nodded. "Bria?" I called and she raised her head which was formerly bent towards the floor. "Since when did I become Alpha? Everyone has begun to get really comfortable with the title." She placed her hands over her mouth in a dramatic manner and then began waving her hand like in an apology. "I'm so sorry, my king. Really really sorry." She apologized. "I need you to do something for me And you must not fail at it. If you eventually fail at it, it would cost you your life." She took a deep breath like my words had made her scared of some sort and then nodded. "Whatever it is, My lord. I'll do it effectively." I looked back at Arya's body and turned to look at Bria. "I need you to stay here with her body. But this time, you mustn't take your eyes off her. I need you and her body to be here by the time I get back. I need to go speak with the Ally's." She nodded almost immediately and walked into the room as I shifted away from the door slightly. "You can bolt the door from behind so as to prevent anything of the sort. So I won't be tempted to leave." I nodded and walked out bolting the door from outside. Let's test out a fucking theory, I said in my head as I walked to meet the people who were going to help me fight Alpha Kavinsky. That fucker killed my daughter, he can't even hide away even in death because I will find him and make sure I kill him myself.ARYA He looked stressed out. They all looked stressed out, they looked stressed out and it sent a kind of thrills and chills down my spine. The good kind of chills though. Bria tried to kill me, I knew it! I knew it right down into my freaking bone marrow but I know that Lycan King Kai didn't believe it. The look of disbelief when I said it to him, he literally called me a liar without even using any words and it was deeply shocking. Actually, no need for the melodramatics, it wasn't really that much of shocking but goddess forbid a girl tries to act like something hurt really badly. I was still getting back pieces of my memories back and though it wasn't quite clear and foggy, I was determined to work with what I had already. I remembered pouring water on Bria, I remembered grabbing that stupid hair of hers, and one thing I mostly remember? How I stood up to Kai once though. Which means, I didn't really a shit or two fucks about them and since I just got risen from
ALPHA KAI “I'm really trying to comprehend all of this, Raze but it's just not adding up no matter how hard I try. Maybe it's time you try explaining to us.” I was at a loss for words as Raze looked like a ghost from his last had been awoken and he looked as pale as one of those ghosts anyways. It just didn't make any sense that Arya would be his sister and for all I know, perhaps he had mistaken her for his sister. It just couldn't be right. Raze didn't have a mother or father but Arya had literally said that her mother was tryna to sell her off to Alpha Kavinsky for money and influence. “Raze, say something. There's no way that low—” Katie was saying and for the first time since we were pressing him on to say something about the whole thing, his head snapped up immediately. “Katie. I'm going to be really honest, this isn't the best time for you to complete that sentence.” He warned and her lips which were half way open in the sentence snapped back shut while he placed hi
ARYA “Walk with your shoulders high up. Don't let anyone say you're not self conscious or stupid.” That's what my mother would say if she was still alive to see me in the situation I had gotten myself into. A contract marriage with the same man who was out to gut me and use my blood as paint for a canvas. Mama, your daughter has made some pretty much fucked up decisions that I'm definite would come back to bite me in the ass. The only thing I wished for was that I was prepared to handle the sting that it came with. As I walked down the hallway to the main hall where Kai would announce to the whole pack that I was his fiancee, I realized one thing. Facing death firsthand and somehow escaping it by the help of the goddess, it had blurred the line between how much I acted and how I should act. Bria had tried to kill me and if she thought I was going to let her off the hook like that then she better do more than three rethinks. Hopefully, at the third she'll realize that no
ARYA Elara left after saying that but I wasn't about to let a maids word crawl under my skin so I took my bath with the herb water she had prepared and went back to lay down. But I couldn't sleep. I kept tossing and turning in my bed with different kind of thoughts flooding my mind. I looked out the window and it was dark, already. The pack had gone to sleep, it was dark and eerily quiet. Perfect time for rogues to attack if they wanted to invade the territory. Okay, Arya. Where is that thought coming from? I immediately stood up from the bed gritting my teeth while putting on my flip flops and descended up the floors to the top balcony and onto the roof. At least, I would be able to breathe there. I would feel free and feel like flying at the very least. When I went up there, I didn't realize I had company until I hear someone sigh and turned to see a shadow. Kai? No, it can't be. Since when did he start scenting like cinders and ginger? Cinder and ginger? I tilted my head
KAI “Arya, what are you doing?” I called out and she turned towards me immediately, the pillar was at the other end so if I had to get to her, I had to Scott over her stupid boundary which was none of my business. “If you come any closer, I'd kill her.” She snapped and right now, she looked like the murderer she was called. “You won't.” I dared walking past her boundary, the floor carvings and she instantly dug the dagger she was holding into Bria's legs. “Don't come over. I'm not joking, I'd kill her. I will.” There was defiance in her tone that made me take steps back and raised my hands like I was in surrender. “Arya..” I called and trailed off when I heard her brother muttering something out loud. “What was that?” I recline my ears but when he stepped forward, I realized he wasn't talking to me. He was talking to her. “Frater, soror, una fortis. Virtus in arma, non, ducor, duco. Ad astra per aspera…” He trailed off while his voice cracked on the edge and Arya's eyes remained
ARYA "No." Simple. Concise. Clear. Exactly how I Ioved my answers so it would be simple enough for anyone to grasp. His brows twitched looking at me like I was going crazy for even thinking he was asking. "You have a lot to learn yet, doll. You only reply with a yes or no when you were asked a question and right now, unless the ghosts in the wall are way more twisted than I remembered and are the ones asking you the questions then you need a lot of grammar tutoring." He said, standing up as he took few steps closer, pushing my hair to the back of my ear. "You have no idea how offensive it is for me that I haven't executed you yet on the spot. But I guess, some holes have to be filled first on the journey of revenge." He teased as his hands lingered on my ear for a moment longer than I would have even liked in the first place. "And ah, before I forget, this would be your room henceforth." He finalized before walking out the door like what he had just dropped wasn't some ki
