His flame breath slammed into the frozen ground, sending cracks spiderwebbing across the icy surface. Steam exploded upward as the hellfire carved through the frost, melting everything in its path.
The ground hissed violently beneath the blast, glowing red in places where the fire had punched through to bare earth. The heat felt like standing at the mouth of a furnace that wanted to consume everything.
