CHAPTER 2.3.2

Its broken teeth sunk deep into Tyndale's torso, puncturing his stomach that triggered gushes of blood shooting out of the fresh wounds. Daito tried to gracefully land on his feet like a feline, but the slippery mud on the ground forced an awkward landing out of him.

Jericho tried to hold him in place in order to give Daito enough time to gather his steps. Tyndale kept hammering at the creature’s head, trying to force it to loosen its grip. No matter how hard he tried he was getting nowhere. Daito charged with a flaunting kick that sent Tyndale flying and crashing onto a group of soldiers who were fighting each other.

Before he landed on the ground he saw the bright flash of blue light follow him at the corner of his eye. He instinctively raised his soul sleeve to serve as a shield. The blast ricocheted off the sleeve but managed to burn the surrounding skin off the arm before dying down.

“That’s the last of them. Let us get going before more enemies follow us!”
