Chapter 4 : The Contract

The kiss lasted for a minute and his mother was very happy about it, then Nora unlocked the kiss as both eyes got locked on each other then the recording stopped.

Kieran immediately developed more symptoms from being very close to her and kissing her, he was sweating and got a choking sensation along with a rapid heartbeat.

 “Sir I.” 

He didn't let her finish, he ran off immediately and exited the building as he told the driver to take him home.

Nora wondered if she did something wrong and the crew signaled her to come over which she obeyed.

“I am sorry if I messed up, please forgive me.” Nora went to her knees.

“You don't have to do that Nora, you did well and no one else could have done something great like you.”

“Nora I think you are going to end up becoming a star, the Internet is on fire, Kieran kissed a lady and we suspect she might be the one.”

The crew members were in much excitement but she was the dumb person among them who doesn't seem to understand a thing.

The manager came in and thanked the crew for getting the perfect person for the role and Nora received her pay worth four hundred dollars as a starter.

“Thank you so much, sir.”

“If you do not mind, I would like you to fill out this form. I wish to know things about you and how to contact you after today.”

She didn't hesitate to fill out the form and she kept fantasies about her being a big deal in the movie world.

The crew members also exchanged their numbers with her to reach her always and she was happy but not fully happy, she is worried about him.

“A guy is not supposed to run off just like that right? I felt like I came down with the flu. I wish I could meet him again to find out what I did.”

She left the dressing room and the gossip was about the kissing scene, “I have a feeling the movie is going to be a blast.”

“You can say that again, but come to think of it, the girl got some guts to be able to do that, you know.”

“You know what, at first I was scared that he was going to embarrass her, you know.”

“Yes he did anyway but this time around was different, they kissed and I felt it like my eyes got glued, I wish to watch this on a replay.”

Nora smiled but they didn't notice she was the one since she had already changed to her casual outfit.

Kieran got to the house and had a bath again by scrubbing his entire body shivering in the bathroom and then made use of the mouth wash.

He looked at the mirror and the kiss played in his head again, he yelled so loud feeling chest pain as he looked for his medication.

This time around he was having a short breath and was on the floor rolling in pain.

“I shouldn't have acted it, I know my mother is behind this, she is going to kill me if she keeps doing this to me.” He complained as he tried to endure the pain.

A few moments later, he became himself and started hitting his face acting like a 15 years old boy saying, “I should sue her for crossing her lines right?”

Mrs. Penelope had a drink with her friend after leaving the location of the shoot, “I see you are happy about the kissing scene your son was in?” Mrs. Catherine inquired.

“Yes my dear friend, I feel God has finally heard my cry, let's toast to that.”

She said and they both with their glass of champagne saying, “Salud.”

“But why did he run off just like that?”

“You ask like you don't know my son, anyway I am happy about this scene in the movie, my son didn't ruin your set, let's drink more.”

“Thank you, Mrs. Penelope, the internet is already on fire and I wonder what will happen when the movie is fully out.” 

“It will be a bomb.” Mrs. Penelope added and they laughed.

She finished having a great time with her friend and they bid goodbye, “Get me the manager working for Mrs. Catherine's production.” She ordered her PA.

In minutes the manager met with her at a Vip restaurant and he was happy knowing Mrs. Hendrix sent for him, what an honor on his part.

“Who is she? The girl that took the role of Shirley?” Mrs. Penelope went straight to the reason she requested from him.

“Mrs. Hendrix, her name is Nora Remington and she is a nobody and was used as a replacement for the role Anna rejected.”

“So you let nobody kiss my son? What if she is infected?” She acted like she was angry when she wasn't upset a bit.

“I am sorry Mrs. Penelope, it won't happen again.”

“I can forgive you if you set dinner for the both of us to see.”

“You mean us?” She looked at him with a deadly gaze.

“I am sorry, I mean with the lady that acted the role?”

“Yes, if she doesn't show up, I will make sure you get the black card.” Mrs. Penelope threatened him and a black card meant he would lose his job and no company would ever employ him.

“Easy task ma'am, I was lucky enough to get her details, she will meet you up for dinner.”

“I will be at the Castle Restaurant by 8 pm, I don't permit lateness.” She said taking her leave.

The manager quickly called Nora on the phone, lying to her that she got another role to act and to meet with the producer at Castel Restaurant by 7:30 pm.

She could not stop appreciating the manager over the phone, “She hates lateness so make sure you go early.” The manager warned before ending the call.

Cathy wasn't home to share the news with, she started dancing saying, “My dreams are coming true, I love New York.“

It was getting to the time for the meeting. She wore the only good dress she had in her bag, packed her hair in a ponytail, applied pink lipstick, and sprayed Cathy's perfume before leaving the house with a taxi. She has enough to pay for one.

She arrived early and waited for the person to come, immediately Mrs. Penelope came in, she greeted her, and Mrs. Penelope liked her already.

“You are Nora Remington?”

“Yes ma'am.” She smiled.

“Let's eat before we go straight to business.”

They ordered dessert and Nora could tell that Mrs. Penelope is a billionaire.

“Do you know who I am?”

“No ma'am.”

“Mrs. Penelope Hendrix.” The surname rang a bell to Nora, knowing she is the mother of the guy she kissed, fear gripped her.

“Don't be scared and I am pleased by your acting earlier that's why I came to offer you a contract worth twelve thousand dollars for a start.”

She got overwhelmed hearing the amount of money mentioned and was ready to accept as she requested politely to know the kind of job she is to do.

“Well, I want you to make my son fall for you and be his girlfriend then do some magic in his life.” She froze.
