☆☆LILA☆☆

The training grounds were deeper in the estate than I expected Nyx opened the door to reveal a perfectly concealed training arena.

People were everywhere

Werewolves

Some sparred in pairs.

Others stood around watching or stretching.

The air smelled like sweat, earth,

I stopped walking, taking it all in

“Wow?”

“It’s calm today,” Ivy said cheerfully.

A loud thud echoed across the clearing.

I looked just in time to see a very large man hit the ground.

Hard.

☆☆LILA☆☆Nyx was exactly as ruthless when training as I imagined she would be.The gym felt expanded than the last time I was in here, with padded floors, punching bags hanging from the ceiling, and the faint smell of sweat and metal filled the air.Nyx stood in front of me with her arms crossed, studying me like I was a disappointing science experiment.“Again,” she said.I exhaled slowly and tried to focus. She lunged first. Before I could react, her hand grabbed my wrist and twisted my arm behind my back. The next thing I knew, the floor slammed into my back.Hard.Pain shot through my shoulders and the air rushed out of my lungs.Nyx didn’t even look slightly impressed.“That was slow,” she said coldly. “If that was a real attack, you’d already be dead.”I groaned but forced myself to sit up.“Well, good thing this isn’t a real attack.”Nyx raised an eyebrow.“Stand up.”I pushed myself to my feet again. My leg protested slightly, but I ignored it.Nyx circled me slowly.“Humans a

☆☆LILA☆☆ After a week of Selene treating my leg, it was almost as good as new. The stitches were gone, and the pain had faded into nothing more than a dull ache whenever I walked too fast. Which meant there was absolutely no reason for me to still be here. Selene was packing up her medical supplies when I finally said it. “I think I should move downstairs. I’m fine now.” Selene hesitated. Just for a moment. Then she said, “The room downstairs is already occupied.” I frowned. “By who?” Selene didn’t answer at first. "Hmmm Ivy, she had an issue with her apartment." Something about the way she avoided my eyes made me suspicious. Later that afternoon, Ivy came to give me fruits “What happened to your apartment?” I asked. While we were sitting down in the living room Ivy blinked. “My apartment? Nothing happened to it.” I frowned. “I thought you were staying downstairs with Selene.” Ivy froze. For a moment, she looked like she had just realised she’d said something she

  • MARKED BY DECEPTION    Chapter 65: Healing

☆☆LILA☆☆ Pain was the first thing I felt the moment I opened my eyes. The painkillers must have worn off. A dull ache spread through my leg the moment I tried to move it. I inhaled sharply. For a moment, I just stared at the ceiling, trying to remember where I was. Then the memories came back all at once. The training field. The wolf that attacked me. And Rowan being a jerk when I woke up. But how exactly did I get here? I slowly pushed myself up on the bed, careful this time. My leg protested immediately, but at least the pain wasn’t as sharp as before. At least I wasn't crippled. The room was quiet. I looked around slowly. I swung my legs carefully over the side of the bed, testing my balance before standing at least I tried to. The moment my injured leg touched the floor, a sharp sting shot through it. But it held. Barely. “Great,” I muttered. Just then, the door opened. Selene stepped inside holding a small tray, but the moment she saw me standing, her eyes widen

Nyx stood beside him, arms crossed, her expression cold. The moment she saw me enter, she stepped aside and nodded. Jake didn’t bother to move. Nyx wasn’t only my Beta she was also the best fighter in the pack. Jake slowly lifted his head. His eyes were bloodshot, his breathing uneven. “Alpha.” “You attacked someone under my protection,” I said calmly. “Why?” Jake swallowed hard, but his jaw tightened stubbornly. “She shouldn’t be here,” he muttered. “Humans don’t belong in our territory.” “That wasn’t the question.” The temperature in the room seemed to drop. “Why did you attack her?” Jake hesitated. For a moment, confusion flickered across his face. “I…” He frowned slightly. “I don’t know.” Nyx scoffed. “You don’t know?” Jake shook his head slowly. “I saw her walking toward the training field and suddenly…” He stopped, clearly struggling to explain. “Something just snapped in me.” His fingers curled into fists. “I hate humans,” he continued roughly, “but this was

One thing I never expected was Leo Moretti asking to see me, especially not to tell me that I was his daughter’s mate. Given that he and my father had spent years loathing each other, I couldn’t deny my surprise when he requested the meeting. At first, I called his words complete bullshit. Everyone close to me was aware that I was cursed to have a human mate. Condemned to it. An Alpha having a human mate was already strange enough, but an Alpha having a human child was impossible. Or so I thought. Until Moretti revealed that his wife had been human. I'd be dammed They certainly knew how to keep things a secret in that clan. Suddenly, many things started making sense. His daughter had been hidden from the public the moment she turned sixteen, the age when a mate could finally recognise her. Unfortunately, I didn’t get the chance to ask him much more. Because Leo Moretti died less than an hour after telling me, and I took that as a sign to let Lila go. I really was ready to

☆☆ROWAN☆☆The moment I stepped out of the elevator, I headed straight for Lila’s room.I hadn’t planned on bringing her there but I didn’t even realise what i was doing till I entered the ro.The room looked exactly the way she had left it when she packed her stuffs, I didn't bother to change anything.I placed her carefully on the bed, making sure not to move her injured leg. Her breathing was steady, but her face had gone pale from the blood loss. For a moment, I simply stood there. Then, before I could stop myself, I reached out.My fingers brushed the side of her face, gently moving a strand of hair away from her cheek. Her skin was warm. She is alive, I thought reassuring my wolf. The image of the wolf standing over her flashed through my mind again. My jaw tightened. It took a great deal of self-control not to go back downstairs and finish what I had started. The door opened behind me.“How the hell did this happen?”Selene’s voice cut through the room as she walked in quickly,

☆☆THEO☆☆ The pack house was still a mess. Four days after the day that was supposed to be our wedding and everything was still upside down. The Elders were everywhere, questioning people like that would somehow bring her back. Kai was trying to calm me down, again. I could hear him outside, ta

☆☆LILA☆☆ Sunlight shining on my face was the first thing that woke me up. For a second, I didn’t move. I just lay there, staring at the ceiling, listening to people move around the house. It was exhausting. Today was supposed to be my wedding day. The thought alone made my stomach twist. I ex

☆☆LILA☆☆ The next morning, I was already awake before the maid came in. I hadn’t slept much anyway. Every time I closed my eyes, I either saw Rowan’s face or kept thinking about how to get out of this place. The tray in her hands smelled like soup. My stomach growled. I was definitely hungry, bu
