CHAPTER 32: A FATHER'S LOVE

The paper I held in my hands felt like a joke. At this point, I'd think my wife was playing a skit on me. The report had DNA as its title but the DNA of who it was baffled me.

“Honey, whose DNA is this matching? And why are you going about trying to do DNA tests?” I finally found my voice minutes after I composed myself.

“You wouldn't believe it, it's little bunny's,” her eyes filled themselves to the brim. Her behavior surprised me, I expected her to be all over the room, jumping and squealing about in excitement.

“Are you sure it's little bunny's DNA?” I rolled my eyes at her, trying to see if I could sense any level of suspicion from her. “The level of excitement I am supposed to be getting from you is not what I'm seeing.”

She moved closer to me, whispering. “I know but then Bree and Francis are in the house. They do not need to know what's going on just yet. It would break Bree. At least not yet, she does not need to know.”
