CHAPTER 46: A DANGEROUS GAME

To be honest, I was scared. Scared of everything I was doing, wondering if it was worth it in the end. But then Francis was just at the hem of my neck, encouraging me that Alexander was going to be mine; just a little bit more. Even though it never felt like that, it wasn't close to feeling like that.

The walk to my room was heavy, it felt like bags of cement had been attached to my body, making it difficult for me to walk properly.

The same question went over and over in my head: is Alexander going to ever see me as more?

I went straight to my bed, everything was becoming more and more complex. As my back hit the bed, what happened that morning flushed through my head again.
