SOPHIA'S POV

Sophia hated keeping secrets.

Especially from the people she loved, but this time, she didn't know how to tell the truth.

How could she look at Noah and say:

Noah's eyes widened.

"What solution?"

"I'm still working on it."

"Your mother's treatment arrangements have been approved."

She froze.

"What?"

The doctor smiled.

"The hospital received confirmation this morning. Everything has been taken care of."

Sophia stared at him.

"But how?"

The doctor checked the file.

"I'm not sure of the details. The payment was arranged through a private account."

Sophia already knew.

"I'm just tired."

"So why does it feel like you're keeping something from me?"
