CHAPTER FOURTEEN

Marco’s POV:

Instead of going back to the condo, I headed straight to the bar. I needed to cool my head—or more accurately, drink myself numb.

I started drowning myself in alcohol at Aaron’s bar, which he also happens to own. As usual, women were throwing glances my way. A few even tried to approach me, but I waved them off immediately.

I’ve always been like this, even back then—avoiding any situation that might break Natalie’s trust in me. I held on to my promise that I’d wait for her to return, and once she did, we’d finally get married.

Even after she left again, I stayed loyal. I never turned into a playboy. That’s how much I love her.

So, no matter how many desperate women tried to throw themselves at me, none of them ever succeeded.

I tightened my grip on the glass in my hand as that nerd came flashing into my mind again.
