*COMPANY VISIT* Olivia woke up to the sound of her alarm which she had set to eight o'clock in the morning. She quickly got up and stretched to get the sleep out of her eyes. How she sleeps for longer hours baffles her, she was the type that would study till ten o'clock at night and still wake up by six and sometimes five o'clock in the morning. However, since she got here, it’s like she just developed some sleep superpowers. She went into her walk-in closet and looked through her few wears for a suitable cloth to wear to a company, she has never been to a mall not to talk of a huge company. Other than going to school, one other place she would be was home. In her spare time, she either read storybooks or watch TV. She picked out a white sleeveless crop top, a black jacket and a flared red skirt. She placed them on her bed and went to take her bath. *COMPANY VISIT*They got to a door which was opened by one of the guards as they got inside, it was an office and there was a man sitting on the chair in front of the large table. He immediately stood up from the chair walking towards them a bit before bowing. Olivia studied the man, he has a short stature and he’s a little bald. He wasn’t that fat but his belly made up for it. He looked like he was in his forties. “Good morning Sir.” The man greeted. “Olive, go sit over there for a while.” Peter said nodding towards a sofa at the corner of the office as he released Olivia’s hand. She nodded and did as told. The sofa faced them and she could see everything from her angle. She looked back at them and was glad no one was paying attention to her so she continued watching them. *JACKET* “I would like to see you try.” Mason said to the guard who just spoke. ‘He’s really stupid if he thinks he can touch Peter's daughter and get away with it, I bet he doesn’t even know who she is.’ Mason said in his head. He came to see the new shipment of weapons as usual, he always came with Ace and Derek but the two chose to go see a movie with some girls they just met. He was surprised to see the security post empty when he got to the company and that’s why he was curious to know what’s happening not expecting to see Olivia kneeling beside a boy and a guard shouting at her. He frowned at the scene in distaste. “H-Hi Mr J-Jackson.” The first guard greeted shakily. “What’s happening here?” He questioned. “The boy was told to leave but he refused claiming he has to see Mr Summers. *JACKET* Talking about the Don, Mason had noticed that something was up with his dad and mom recently. They seem to be avoiding each other which had never happened before. Even though his dad was someone you could call ruthless, he cared about his wife a lot and will always avoid letting her know whenever he did something too extreme because he knew he would get scolded by his wife. His mom on the other hand is the complete opposite of her husband, she was the kindest woman you’ll ever come across.To this day, Mason still couldn’t understand how his mom came to love someone like his dad. Although she wasn’t pleased that Mason decided to follow in his father’s footsteps, she still understood that it was inevitable but she always tries to make sure he doesn’t end up being ruthless like his dad by her occasional pep talks, she had no idea he’s already past that line. *HIDDEN BAR* Olivia has been avoiding Mason’s gaze since they got out of her dad’s office. She was still very embarrassed of what had happened in her dad’s office. To Olivia, the jacket had an irresistible smell, the smell kind of matched Mason’s personality and she was drawn in. She was glad that her dad didn’t drag out the matter for too long. Nevertheless, she still couldn’t look into Mason’s eyes. She had glanced at the clock earlier because it seems like It was too early for lunch but the clock proved her wrong. “Are you hot?” A voice pulled her out of her thoughts. *HIDDEN BAR* Olivia was currently sitting in the passenger seat beside Ace who was driving while Derek was in the backseat. She had confronted Ace on how it was illegal to drink and drive. Ace was amused and told her that’s not how alcohol works. He got excited as he claimed to tell Olivia how alcohol works. He talked and talked till Olivia zoned out because she couldn’t perceive any sense from all he was spitting. The car stopped some minutes later and taking that as her cue, she unbuckled her seat belt and planned to open the door when it was opened from the outside by Ace. She thanked him and got down. “You can go in by yourself, right?” He asked. “Yes.” She answered. “Good, see you tonight.” He said before going back to get in the car. “Bye.” She murmured not sure he heard her as he drove off speedily which made her realized he must have been deliberately driving slow when she was in the car. *THE DON* It’s been two days since the whole emotional conversation with Peter. It was Wednesday and Olivia looked at the time to see it was exactly 12:00PM. It’s been a week since her grandma’s death and as much as she tried not to think about her all the time, she was starting to accept that she was really dead and she won’t see her again. She stood from the couch and went to stand in front of her bed staring at the newly added pictures. That was what Peter had surprised her with. Turns out the pictures that had her and her grandmother in it which she had searched hard for in her previous home and couldn’t find has been in Peter’s possession. It was when Olivia entered her room and saw two enlarged framed picture against the wall above her bed, the first one was of Olivia and her grandmother, it was the picture her grandmother had handed to Peter and it was in that picture that he first saw what his daughter looked like.
