Maya's POV

"No," she admitted. "But I can stop you from making a mistake that will get everyone here killed. These wolves followed you because they thought you'd protect them. Not throw them into a slaughter."

I wanted to argue, but something in her words stopped me. I looked out the window at the training grounds, at the wolves sparring and laughing and building something that resembled hope.

"Then what do you suggest?" I asked quietly.

"We keep building. Keep training. We hit smaller targets, supply lines, patrol routes, isolated pack houses. We make them paranoid. Make them turn on each other." Elena's voice was patient but firm. "And when we're strong enough, when we have the numbers and resources to actually win, then we strike at the heart."

"How long?"

"Six months. Maybe a year."

I laughed bitterly. "I don't have a year. The serum is breaking down my body. Your own medical reports say I have months at best before the cellular damage becomes irreversible."

  • MATED TO MY BULLIES    Chapter 53: The Heir's Challenge

Maya POV They wake me before dawn. No warning. No explanation. Just three guards yanking me out of bed and dragging me through the corridors. "What's happening?" I struggle against their grip but the stabilizer hasn't fully restored my strength yet. I'm weak. Vulnerable. "The heir has issued a challenge," one guard says. His face shows no emotion. "Eastern tradition. Before any alliance, combat must prove worth." My stomach drops. "Now? I just got here." "The heir chooses the time. You accepted the bargain. Now you face the consequences." They pull me through the compound. Dawn light filters through the ancient stone archways. Wolves are already gathering. Hundreds of them. Lining a massive circular arena carved into the ground. Stone seats rise in tiers around the fighting pit. This isn't a training exercise. This is a spectacle. Konstantin stands at the arena's edge, arms crossed. He sees me being dragged forward and his expression doesn't change. No surprise. No concern. He

  • MATED TO MY BULLIES    Chapter 52: Into the East

Maya POV The stabilizer burns going down. Like swallowing liquid fire mixed with broken glass. I collapse against the cave wall, gasping, clawing at my throat as the serum courses through my veins. "Maya!" Elena's hands are on my face, checking my pulse, my eyes. "Breathe. Just breathe." But I can't breathe. The stabilizer is fighting the dying serum in my blood, two wars happening inside me at once. My body convulses. Black blood sprays from my mouth onto the cave floor. Konstantin watches with clinical interest. He doesn't move to help. Just watches. Taking mental notes like I'm a lab rat having a seizure. "Fascinating," he murmurs. "The stabilizer is forcing cellular regeneration at an accelerated rate. Her body is essentially dying and rebuilding simultaneously." "She's in agony!" Elena shouts. "Yes." Konstantin tilts his head. "But she's not dead. That's what matters." The pain peaks. Everything goes white. Then, slowly, it fades. The convulsions stop. My breath

  • MATED TO MY BULLIES    Chapter 51: “The Luna Who Plans the War”

Seraphina's POV "I'm not sure I.." "I was promised to the Blackwood brothers when I was six years old," I said, my voice hardening. "Six. My entire childhood, my entire adolescence, my entire young adult life was spent preparing to be their Luna. Learning politics, diplomacy, pack management, combat. Everything I did, every choice I made, was in service of that future." I moved to my desk, picking up a photograph of the brothers taken years ago. "And then some nobody, a low-born, damaged, genetically modified freak, gets artificially bonded to them and everything I worked for becomes uncertain. Suddenly I'm competing with a girl who shouldn't even exist. A science experiment that got lucky." "But you won," Marcus pointed out. "You're the Luna now. They chose you." "They chose practicality," I corrected bitterly. "They chose political alliance and pack stability. But don't think I didn't see it in their eyes during the mating ceremony. The doubt. The guilt. The way they flinched w

  • MATED TO MY BULLIES    Chapter 50: "Seraphina's Gambit"

Seraphina's POV I watched from my office window as Karl Blackwood slipped out of the pack house at midnight, heading toward the forest with a backpack and determined expression. "Idiot," I murmured, sipping my wine. "Absolute idiot." "Should we follow him?" my lieutenant, Marcus (I'd kept the name as a small joke), asked from behind me. "No need." I turned from the window, smiling. "I already know where he's going. Who he's meeting. What he thinks he's accomplishing." I'd known about Karl's little rebellion for days now. My spies were better than he gave me credit for. Every "secret" meeting with Elijah. Every encrypted message to Elena Rodriguez. Every piece of "intelligence" he thought he was stealing. I'd allowed all of it. "You're going to let him continue?" Marcus asked, confused. "Of course." I settled into my chair, feeling the satisfaction of a plan falling perfectly into place. "Karl thinks he's being clever, playing double agent, feeding information to Maya's mother.

  • MATED TO MY BULLIES    Chapter 49: “Trying to Make It Right”

Karl's POV "And Elijah?" "Elijah is with me," I said. "He wants to help. He's been secretly documenting everything Seraphina does, every order she gives, building a case against her." "And yet you're here alone," Elena observed. "Because if Seraphina suspects all of us are turning against her, she'll move up her timeline. She'll attack immediately, and we'll lose any chance to evacuate your people." I met Elena's eyes. "I'm here because I'm expendable. If she finds out and kills me, Nathan and Elijah can still work from the inside." Elena studied me for a long moment. "You're willing to die for this." "I'm willing to die for Maya," I corrected. "Even if she never forgives me. Even if she hates me until her last breath. She deserves better than to become what the packs tried to make her." Dr. Morrison looked up from his computer. "The data is legitimate. Everything he said about Project Apex, about Maya's genetics, about the mate bond manipulation, it's all documented here." He

  • MATED TO MY BULLIES    Chapter 48: "The Double Agent"

Karl's POV I stood in the darkness outside Elena Rodriguez's compound, my heart hammering against my ribs. This was insane. If anyone found out I was here, if Seraphina discovered I'd made contact with Maya's mother, I'd be executed for treason. But I was out of options. "You have five minutes before my guards shoot you where you stand," Elena's voice came from the shadows. She emerged, flanked by two armed wolves, her expression cold and unforgiving. "Talk fast, Blackwood." "I need your help," I said simply. "To stop Seraphina. And to save Maya from herself." Elena laughed, but there was no humor in it. "You want me to help you? After what you and your brothers did to my daughter? After you tried to execute her?" "I know." The words tasted like ash. "I know we failed her. Betrayed her. Destroyed her. I know there's no forgiveness for what we did." I took a step closer, ignoring the guards' weapons raising. "But if someone doesn't stop this war, everyone dies. Including Ma
