War came faster than I feared.

My pack had survived many threats—but not Ironfang’s Alpha at his full wrath. And I wasn’t ready to be the cause of it.

When I saw the council, I knew shit had hit the ceiling. He had even brought the diremanes. My mother begged me not to come out as I stood at the edge of the room, Lior clutching my chest, my heart pounding so loudly I feared he could hear it.

I had sworn never to let Draven see him.

At least not until I was strong enough. Not until I was ready to face the man who shattered me. Who rejected me.

But he was here already and Draven was not the kind of Alpha who could be reasoned with when blood was on his mind.

When I saw him attack that warrior. I knew he was serious and he was going to attack Anton next. I had to do something… the only thing I knew—

I looked down at my son. At the living proof of one the night that he said had meant nothing.

And I just knew—

If I stayed silent, Thornshade would burn. And, If I stepped forward, eve

DravenTwo fucking years. That’s how long the world has been wrong.Standing at the edge of Thornshade territory, my Ironfang warriors gathered behind me, their wolves restless beneath their skin. “Let’s go,” I said as we marched into Thornshade.Alpha Mateo never disappoints. Thornshade warriors lined up. We came to a halt.“What’s the meaning of this, Draven? Why have you come here?” Mateo asks with surprise and anger.“You have what I want. Give me, and there’ll be no bloodshed today.”His brows deepens in confusion.I come down from my Diremane. But stay rooted. “Elara Everstorm. Bring her to me.”She had been here.I knew it the way I knew my own name. I had never been so sure of anything.“Elara?! Elara isn’t here,” his Luna said but that sudden flick of surprise that crossed Mateo’s face when I said her name told me everything I needed to know.“She’s not here,” Mateo repeated, voice steady, eyes too careful. “We swore this already, Alpha Draven.”She had been or was here. Fo

  • MATED TO THE ENEMY ALPHA   Lior

ELARA'S POVIt was so sunny this morning as I sat with my back against the wall, watching my son wobble across the room. He almost trips…“Careful, Lior,” I murmured, smiling as he giggled before falling onto his bottom. He didn’t cry. He rarely cries. He only looked up at me with those too-knowing eyes, blinking as if the world amused him. I crossed over to him, kneeling and pulling him into my arms. He smelled of pine and earth—Ironfang scents that no amount of Thornshade herbs could mask.“Mama… outside.” Lior said pointing out the window.“My little Starling, soon. Very soon we will,” I said gently, brushing his hair back. I wanted to feel the sun. I wanted to feel the moon on my skin but the truth haunted me— no matter how far I ran, no matter how carefully I hid, fate had carved Draven Blackthorn into my son’s bones.A slight knock on the door came before Anton walked in. Lior rushes to him, staggering a little on his little feet all the while opening his arm wide to be carried

DRAVEN’S POV“ENOUGH!” I thundered.Every muscle in my body tightened. When I looked at Elara—the sight of her, panting, claws dug into the dirt, her green eyes glowing under the moonlight— By the Gods, it did something to me. Something I didn’t want to name.I was beyond furious. I asked them both to shift back. I asked what went wrong and Zuri said Elara provoked her. I'm not even surprised. The Thornshade healer has a way of getting to you.I turned to Elara. “Really? Why?”Her reply was my people don’t like hearing truths spoken aloud. The nerve.I smirked. She keeps surprising me. Standing there bruised, her dress in tatters, trembling but the fire in her eyes struck something deeper. Damn! She was so beautiful. My restraint keeps snapping… strand by strand.Karl took Zuri away. Zuri is a skilled warrior, but surprisingly Elara was formidable in her wolf form. She was driving me nuts. I've had to mentally push her out of my mind. Everytime I close my eyes, I recall how her bo

  • MATED TO THE ENEMY ALPHA   Words and Bruises

ELARA'S POVTwo weeks and three days had passed since that night. Two weeks and three days since I woke up naked in Draven's bed and him dismissing me like us having sex meant nothing. Like I was some tramp.I felt humiliated. I hurriedly dressed and ran out.He hadn’t spoken to me since. Not a word, not a glance in my direction. It was like he was avoiding me on purpose, and every day, that silence gnawed at me.Thankfully, Karl had been the one handling my work schedule now. He wasn't nice to me either but at least he wasn't sending me to feed beasts that could rip me apart. I'd heard of the Diremanes before but never seen one. The moment I went close—one lunged at me and cut me but luckily it was grazed but I bled for a while. Their claws were extremely sharp but I got through to them. I wasn't expecting Draven and when he cleaned my wounds and held me—my entire body burned for his touch. The bond flared and we seized the moment but a certain Alpha would disagree.Zuri passed by t

  • MATED TO THE ENEMY ALPHA   Punishment

DRAVEN'S POVThe pack council meeting had gone well. Plans for fortifying the borders against Volkava and his beasts were finally in motion. I felt almost…satisfied. It was a rare feeling. Karl even said I looked pleased. “I suppose I am.” I said walking out of the hall and sipping wine.“I couldn't find Zuri at the meeting.” Karl said.“Ahh….Yes. I asked her to serve the Thornshade first punishment. I know she's been dying too.”Karl laughed and I chuckled. I told her nothing severe, just something to scare her especially after she came to me last night—a detail I confidently left out. I don't want her growing too comfortable under my roof. Just then, Zuri walks into the hall. “Here she comes.” I dismiss Karl.Earlier, when I had tasked her with this, Zuri was all smiles, promising she’d “teach the little healer her place.”So when I asked her what punishment she gave—I didn't expect what she said next—“I asked her to feed the Diremanes.”I completely froze. For a second, I wasn
