May scanned the compound well as she got out, clutching her purse tighter because she couldn't afford to lose the money Edric had given her. There was a rusty car, covered in dust with one tire missing and it's windscreen broken. It was parked close to the dogs.

Iby's dazed look only infuriated May more. She repeated the same question again."Iby, do you kill people for a living?"The longer he left the question unanswered, the faster her heart beat. It was a good thing Edric didn't get to meet Iby. Any time May's mind flashes back to it, she wonders what would have transpired between the two men if Iby hadn't hidden in Maryam'sroom like she had told him to.Edric had forgotten an important file at home. The sun had barely set when a knock came to the door. The woman outside was getting impatient when nobody came to open it. She knocked again. This was all too sudden for May. She didn't want her daughter to be taken from her. "What about school?" she asked. Hoping that mama would take the hint."She will attend school there.
