Mia walked up to the Manor gate, watching it as it opened to let her in.
Uhm. Someone must have been watching out for her to arrive.
It had been easy to find the Manor, as everyone she had met for directions had given her precise ones, that led directly here.
Going through the gates, Mia let out a gasp at her first real glimpse of the Manor. It was so majestic, it almost took her breath away.
It was like a gray castle with its high turrets, and numerous windows.
Before she could sink more into its beauty, a shadow suddenly appeared next to her.
Startled, Mia looked up to see a tall black man with closed-shaven hair.
"Hi, I'm Justice. The Alpha told me to escort you to the meeting room"
Then he moved forward, his long strides eating up the ground, forcing her to jog to catch up.
They went through the main entrance of the castle, going through a few turns till he stopped them in front of a wooden door.
"Go in. The Alpha is waiting," He stated, opening the door to let her in, before closing it gently behind her.
Mia stood in a spacious room, with a big throne-like chair in front, and couches and high back chairs littered around the room.
Someone was seated on one of the couches, and as she stepped fully into the room, the person stood up, revealing a tall, muscular figure.
Mia stood rooted in place, her stomach muscles clenching as she studied the person in front of her.
He was handsome, not in a beauty model kind of way, but in a rugged way.
The plains of his face were harsh, his jaw hard and square, his lips thin and wide, but still looking soft and kissable, his nose a little bit shifted, like it had been broken before, and his harsh, blue-gray eyes, like the Arctic.
Everything came together to form a wild sort of beauty that held Mia’s breath, but it was the familiarity she felt as she gazed into his eyes that brought her back to her senses.
Mia observed him, as he in turn observed her, his eyes running past her dark brown hair, touching her breasts for a second, before going down to her hips, then her legs, before coming back to her eyes.
His perusal of her made her feel like she was naked, and liquid heat was already forming between her thighs, causing her to shift her legs uncomfortably.
Now is not the time to get turned on Mia! She shouted at herself internally.
"Hello Mia" He spoke, and f**k if she didn't get wetter from the sound of his voice.
The baritone was raspy and familiar, but she couldn't place it.
She wasn't sure she had met him before, if not she would remember, right?
"Hello-?" She replied. She didn't know who he was.
"I'm Aaron, Alpha of the Nyx pack" He answered, chuckling softly.
"Hello, Alpha Aaron," Mia replied, bowing slightly, then straightened.
"I was informed you wanted to see me Alpha, so how may I help you?"
Aaron prowled closer to her, causing her to instinctively step back, till her back met the door handle.
It was just an instinct for her to step back from all that powerful energy the Alpha was emitting.
"No wonder the werewolf council is scared of him. He is powerful". Mia thought.
Alpha Aaron stopped directly in front of her, resting an arm above her head on the door, as he leaned into her, his head bowing to look into her golden eyes.
"There are many ways you can help me Mia" His deep voice purred, causing Mia to clench her thighs together in want.
"And I can see you grew up well-"
"Excuse me, do I know you? Have we met before?" Mia asked, cutting him short.
The sense of familiarity she felt in his presence was increasing, minute by minute.
"I can't believe you don't remember me, Mimi, but I can understand. It's been years"
As soon as Mia heard the nickname, she grew suddenly cold.
There was only one person who called her Mimi, and he had disappeared one day, without saying anything to her before he left.
She had thought he died or something since he left when he was so young.
"Aaron? You are the Aaron? Aaron Randall, my half-brother?"
Looking at him closely, she cursed at herself mildly for not recognizing him immediately.
Those eyes should have given him away, but they hadn't been this stormy when he was ten.
"Yes, I'm the Aaron, darling, not Randall, but Kristoff now. And I don't think I'm your brother… well, my wolf does not think so, and the thoughts I have for you aren't exactly brotherly" He said, straightening away for her as he gave her a small smirk.
Mia straightened too, as he left her, then went to sit on the throne-like chair.
She tried to calm her racing heart that was reacting to being so close to him, but it wasn't working so well.
"Come take a seat," he said to her as she stood by the door.
"I don't bite. That's if you don't want me to" He added with a smirk, his blue-gray eyes twinkling slightly in humor.
Mia headed to one of the high-backed chairs that wasn't so close to where he was sitting and sat. She didn't want to be so close to him, as she didn't understand why her body was behaving this way towards him, her center pooling with wetness, her nipples tightening in want, her stomach clenching. All feelings she wasn't supposed to have for someone who was her brother.
They were related by blood for goodness sake! At least, that was what she was told.
His face turned serious as he looked at her squarely, all the previous humor of the past minutes wiped off his face as if they had never been there.
"I have a proposition for you Mia"
****
Aaron studied her as he said that.
Goddess! She looked good.
The last time he had seen her had been under the poor lighting of a bar/hotel room, which was no barrier to his wolf as he could see in the dark, but in broad daylight, her beauty was like a punch to the throat, leaving him sucking in sharp breaths.
When he had been so close to her moments ago, he had been greatly tempted to kiss her, to renew the taste of her in his mouth, that sweet taste he still woke up in the middle of the night wanting.
His wolf wanted her too, had always wanted her and it had taken almost all his control to wrangle the beast inside him, who had wanted to mount her there and there.
Calm, control. Aaron told his beast.
We will have her to ourselves soon enough. She will be ours.
"What proposition is it, Alpha?" Mia's throaty voice asked softly.
Aaron still almost couldn't believe that the shy, scrawny girl of then was the grown woman before him, with long slender legs and curves in all the right places.
Soft succulent curves he had sank his fingers into as he hammered into her in passion, her throaty voice crying out in pleasure.
F**k! Aaron cursed under his breath softly, as he shifted on his chair slightly, trying to adjust himself, so the thick length of his arousal wouldn't be obvious.
"Ah, yes. The proposition" He said hoarsely, then cleared his throat lightly, before he continued.
"I know why you came to Nyx pack territory, and I can help you get what you want if you accept my proposal."
"And why did I come to Nyx pack?" Mia asked, her suspicion and distrust, coating the room in a tangy smell.
"You believe you are cursed and have been looking for a solution to it. I know you are running out of options. I can help you"
"Uhmm" She muttered in answer, before asking tensely.
"So, what do I need to do for you?"
"You become my Luna and give me an heir," Aaron stated calmly.
"What!?" Mia asked, her shock and confusion evident in her voice.
"There is a contract to that effect. We will both sign the contract, which will hold us to our agree-"
"Wait, hold up a minute" Mia snapped, one of her hands held up to stop him mid-sentence.
"I don't know if I heard you well, but if I did, it means, you want me to be your Luna and give birth to a child for you?" Mia asked, raising shocked rounded eyes to his.
"Yes,"
"But, I'm your sister! Your blood! What you are suggesting is forbidden, an abomination!"
"And how do you know you are my blood sister?"
"Well, we grew up together, and your mother was my father's wife," Mia answered scathingly.
Aaron knew why she responded like that. She didn't like his mother, which wasn't strange to him, as Aaron never liked his mother either. She was a horrible person, not that he had seen her in years since he ran away from home.
"That doesn't mean I'm your blood brother. For all you know, my mother got pregnant for another and foisted me on your father," he replied.
He believed this was what happened because he couldn't explain why his wolf had never seen her as a sibling even when they were young, and now that they were older, he and his wolf wanted her in a way a brother wasn't supposed to want his sister.
Aaron knew he wasn't a sick psycho, which meant Mia wasn't related to him by blood, but he didn't have any proof of that, just what his gut and wolf was telling him.
"Even if that were true, the whole world believes we are siblings, the werewolf council believes we are siblings. Any child between us will be seen as an abomination," Mia stated, rising from her seat in preparation to leave.
"Moreover, you already have a Luna, so you don't need another," she added, putting her bag over her shoulder.
"Miram is not my Luna, but you will be"
"Well, that's not what I heard. You guys have been together for years now, and I heard she can be a bitch when crossed. I don't plan to stay here long enough to cross anyone, and if you really know about my curse, you should know my last mate died. The curse does not only prevent me from shifting, it prevents me from having a mate too, except you want to die?" She asked, her brow raised in question.
"I won't die if that's why you don't want to accept my proposal. I already told you, in exchange for what I want, I will help you. So, what's your answer, Mia?" Aaron asked, feeling a flash of anger at the thought of her with another male.
He just couldn't understand his responses to Mia, but he knew he needed her. Badly.
"My answer is No. I'm already ostracized, and mating with my brother- even though you say you aren't my blood brother, our parents were mated, which makes you my step brother. So, mating you will only worsen things. I can't do this"
"Well, I did give you a choice, but I'm sorry I can't let you go like this," He said with a shrug.
"What do you mean?" Mia asked, her voice hinting at her panic.
"Justice, come in" Aaron called at his enforcer.
"What are you doing?" Mia snapped, as Justice opened the door, and entered the room.
"I will be keeping you here in my castle with me, till you accept and sign the contract and I plan on using everything in my arsenal to convince you to do that" His lips twisted into a smirk, which vanished when he saw the look of horror and fear on her face.
"Oh, no, I don't plan on torturing you, at least not the kind of torturing you are envisioning. I know you want me," He said, as he stood up from his seat.
"I know if I put a hand down those jeans, I will find you soaked and wanting, and that's how I will get what I want.
You will have no choice but to give me what I want, "he added with a small smile.
"I am irresistible like that," Turing to Justice, he ordered.
"Take her to the room prepared for her"
Mia's eyes fluttered open and then closed shut again. Each time her eyes opened up, she could see only snippets of what played out in front of her. The silhouettes in front of her were blurry and looked funny in her eyes. Her head ached badly and it felt like her stomach was on fire with the way it burned her. It felt tight as well and it felt as though floods of vomit were making their way from her throat to her mouth. She sat up abruptly and bent her head over what seemed to be a high bed frame as she wretched her bowels out. Floods of yellow poured from her mouth in the most disgusting manner, falling into whatever was placed underneath her mouth or perhaps it fell on the ground. But the splashing sound it made as all those horrible contents forced down her throat by Miriam hit the ground was a splurt sound, meaning that there were more of those horrible contents and she was probably releasing all that content into a bucket. She felt hands rub her back as she wretched further, her
"Are you sure of what you just told me?" Aaron asked Doraine.Justice was standing beside her. Beads of sweat had broken under his hair but he still stood still and continued to look calm and unfazed but feel down, a storm had taken its place within himShe groaned as she placed her hand over a seat that was placed in front of Aaron's table. His brows furrowed as he watched her with keen eyes like that of a predator keeping an eye on a prey. The Alchemist had told him she would have some strength to talk but die a few days and it had only been a few hours. Was he wrong about what he prescribed or perhaps it was going to kill her faster than they both expected? Doraine could die but certainly not in front of Aaron. That would only raise his suspicions. What was making the interrogation take so long for goddess' sake? He was growing impatient and time was running out."Yes, Alpha Aaron, I am sure. I had seen her use the tunnels as she tried to flee—" she paused and her breathing quicke
"What happened to her?" Aaron asked Justice, his voice was dangerously low, Justice had to thread carefully."Apparently, she's very sick at the moment to the point where she can't speak." He replied, his head bowed down in reverence. Aaron slammed his fist on the table in anger."That's not my problem. If you have to force the words from her lips then you'd better do just that." His eyes were red with fury and his mind was far from reasoning. All he wanted was for Justice to bring back Mia. Justice bowed his head in reverence, "I'll make sure to bring back good news about Mia's whereabouts." "I can feel it. She's alive and she's not very far away. Do all you can to bring her back." He ordered.Justice nodded in response and walked out of Aaron's study and headed for the infirmary where he had kept her so that she could recover. As soon as he opened the door, his eyes locked on Miram's. She was sitting very close to the bed where Doraine lay motionless."You tried to kill her, did
Their voices were hushed and only a single fire lit candle was the source of light in the dark room. "You have to stop." "Never!""Aaron will tear this entire pack to shreds trying to find her and we can't have him tracing it back to us." Justice was worried that Miram's rage was going to ruin everything they had both worked hard to build separately and in whatever ways they had worked to build it.Miram on the other hand was not going to back down. She had made up her mind and there was no going back from it.She looked at him squarely with unflinching intensity, her eyes wide and filled with rage and a determination that didn't want to be quenched by words of any sort. The coldness in her eyes, that glint that suggested that her heart had become hardened. He had seen it once before and when he did, somebody had to pay the price—in blood. That look was in her eyes as her eyes were locked on his in an unnerving way. A scowl had adorned her face and she was unyielding, "He can go a
"MIRAM!" Aaron barked as he barged into her room with a lot of force that threatened to force the door out of its hinges. His eyes flashed red with anger, his alpha instincts on high alert and his hand outstretched and reaching out to Miram's delicate neck as he circled his hand around it. He pushed her back and pinned her to the wall."Where. Is. She?" He yelled at her.Her hands clasped down on his which held her neck in place and was applying more force to it. Her face was slowly becoming as a result of the pressure he applied, and he didn't need to apply so much pressure. She was struggling so much and all the air in her lungs was being sucked out of her because of his actions."Let me. . . go," she strained. A vein had appeared in the middle of her forehead. "Where did you hide her? I know it was you. There's no one else who would have such a motive to do something to Mia." Aaron was static in his accusations. She hit his hand with so much force and was throwing a lot of tant
Chapter 35.Mia's eye fluttered open slowly. Her head ached so much that it felt like it was going to roll off her head. She didn't think she was even going to be alive after that blow to her head. It felt as though her skull had cracked open. She felt as blood trickled down the side of her face and her vision was blurred. Her hand slowly crept up the left side of her head and when she brought it back down to her face, she could see the stains of blood on her fingers but her fingers weren't so clear. She shook her head to try to snap herself out of the dizziness that threatened to swallow her but it only made more blood pour out of her head and it only made a severe ache pass through her head. She shut her eyes to try to bear the pain in her head that was slowly spreading to other parts of her body. She felt the ground, Hard, cold, damp.It felt like she was in a dungeon. The fact that it was dark only made it hard for her to figure out where exactly she was.She groaned as she tried
