Chapter 8 The Freak Receptionist

“If you don’t have an appointment, you'd better back out because you can’t see him today! You have to set one to get your seductive ass into his office. He’s a busy boss and I would not allow and tolerate any of you're kind to approach him!”

The lazy female receptionist which looked in her thirties yelled loudly at Izzabelle trying to catch everyone’s attention to focus on them. She wanted to embarrass and humiliate the gorgeous lady in front of her desk unreasonably for looking for their handsome CEO. And she successfully caught the employees' gossipy attention.

The mad woman whom they called as their  receptionist was now glaring at her fiercely like she was some sort of an unknown creature that suddenly teleported from the outer space.

The crowd was uncontrollably getting crazy every seconds as it passed whispering harsh words against her to each other. They’re also starring daggers at the young woman in front of them like they hadn’t seen such kind of beauty and perfection. If only looks could kill, she might had been knocked off several times by this crazy and insane crowd whom they called as their trusted employees.

Izzabelle was now infuriated as she squeezed her eyes shut then she massaged her forehead gently feeling a  terrible headache approaching. Never did she thought that visiting on their own company would be this chaotic. She is on the verge of strangling the freak receptionist’s neck if she goes onto her fussing facade.

The young lady was already annoyed and tired enough for another nonsense yelling and gossiping. She just wants to see and hug her daddy after she comes back from her long  journey. What’s wrong with that?

Ignoring the scrutinizing gazes of the freak receptionist and nonsense bunch of gossipers, she dialled her father’s personal phone number smoothly.

“Yes, I’m here at the lobby. Could you come and get me personally? I’m having a hard time here. Okay, I’ll wait for you.”

Izzabelle speaks on the phone gently and lovingly. No one knows whom she’s talking to but based on the tone of her voice she must be talking to her family member as her voice sounded sweet to hear.

“Alright baby..! I’ll be right there, hold on.”

Mr. Smith, Izzabelle's father answered with so much joy and excitement evident in his voice. He was very happy because his beloved and adored one and only heiress is finally back home. He was also proud of his daughter's current achievements and accomplishments that he couldn't help himself but praise the heavens for their blessings to his child. He’s also aware of Izzabelle’s different identities. He knows that his grown up princess was now engaged into various professions on different fields.

‘She can finally carry on to her long time plan. My Izzabelle would be my light to every darkness I’m facing.., my lovely adorable princess.’

He thought to himself happily and excitedly. While heading towards his personal elevator and pressing the ‘lobby’ button.

The elevator descended speedily down the appointed floor. And with a dingy sound it stopped at the lobby area.

“Ding!”

As the elevator door slowly opened, he was astonished seeing the chaos at the lobby area. He was even  more shocked to witness that his own employees were criticizing his beloved daughter to death. His blood boils to the extreme and fury surged through him. He cursed under his breath.

‘What the hell?’

“What the heck are you all doing here? Aren’t you all busy enough? Get back to work or you’ll be fired! But before that you have to apologize to her!”

The handsome CEO in his late forties furiously shouted with all his might as he pointed his trembling finger at his dumbfounded employees for the first time in their life. The crowd stood frozen in shock as they were caught red-handed in bullying the young and gorgeous lady which identity was still unknown to them.

‘Damn this employees, don’t they know who this person they criticized so much? Aren’t they afraid to be sued? She’s also their boss for christ sake!’ he muttered to himself as he swept his penetrating cold gaze through the crowd.

He commanded his employees sternly with full authority to apologize his daughter. He was so disappointed with his employees’ unruly attitude. So rude. Did they thought of him as a soft hearted and tolerable boss?

Izzabelle was surprised to see her daddy standing not far away from her. Her tired eyes lit up then she smiled sweetly as she took her heals with confident strides to approach him and gave him her signature bear hug then she kissed his both side cheeks with a smack sound.

“There you are..! I’ve missed you so much daddy..! Muahhh..! Muahhh..! I’d never thought that I would be needing an appointment in meeting my own father.”

She blurted out her words sensually, without giving anyone a damn in the crowd around them. She glanced at the freak receptionist and bunch gossipers which was totally dumbstruck like an idiot. Their filthy mouths hanged wide open as they keep on starring at her in so much awe and envy. They couldn’t believe it, how come she was their CEO’s daughter? But their situations are different and in order to stay stable at their cherished jobs, they had to compromise even if it was against on their own will.

“I’m sorry Miss Smith... We didn’t know that you were our CEO’s daughter. Please forgive us..!”

The employees was fast and sensible enough to apologize sincerely while bowing their heads in so much shame and fear of losing their jobs. They couldn't afford to be fired and leave their beloved company. They wouldn't might be able to find another company to work for in the future.

Izzabelle straightened herself arrogantly then raised her perfect eyebrows and mocked.

“What if I’m just a nobody? Would you just criticize and humiliate me then?”

She questioned as if challenging them to retort on her words as she looked at them coldly which sent shivers down their spines. Then she face the receptionist who went mad earlier and asked her in an interrogative manner.

“And you? Is that the perfect way to entertain your company's guests? Is that part of your working ethics?”

Izzabelle raised her black shades to her head and starred at the middle aged woman fiercely. Her hazel fiery eyes roamed directly into her body up and down. The latter nervously bowed her head in embarrassment and apologized repeatedly.

“I’m so sorry... I’m so sorry... I didn’t mean it... Please forgive my mistakes Miss Smith... Please..!” She begged with all her might as her tears were threatening to fall from the corners of her eyes.

Izzabelle just waved her hands in the air and finally said.

“Nah... that's enough! I’ll let it go for now, but I truly hope that this will be the last time. I won’t tolerate such kind of mistakes if this happens again, not under my watch, you hear me?”

She commanded sternly  and firmly.
