Chapter Ten: Unraveling the Dots

Damon's POV

I stared intently at Terry, a nagging feeling in the pit of my stomach. Something about his breathing seemed off, indicating that he was lying. I couldn't let it go. I needed to know the truth. Ignoring Terry's protests, I used my superhuman strength to hold him in place, preventing him from escaping.

"Let me go, you bastard!" Terry shouted, struggling against my grip.

I tightened my hold, my voice filled with coldness. "Not until you tell me the truth, Terry. I can see through your lies."

"Whatever he was hiding, he had better let it out before I let myself go, and I meant that in an awfully bad way. He sure wouldn't like me when I got passed the limit of my cool." I thought, every single breath laced with venom.

Terry's eyes widened, fear creeping into his gaze. "I swear, I'm not lying! Just let me go!"
