The VIP hospital room was silent. Only the sound of the heart monitor and the drip of the IV accompanied the long night.

Rebecca—in Ellya’s body—kept looking at Samuel, who sat on the chair near the bed. Her heart was too full to rest. She lowered her head, gripping the blanket tightly.

“Samuel,” she whispered softly.

The man turned, his eyes still clouded with doubt. But before he could speak, Rebecca pulled him closer. Her hands trembled, yet with courage she cupped Samuel’s face and pressed her lips to his.

The kiss was wet with tears. Rebecca deepened it, kissing with all the longing she had suppressed. Samuel froze for a moment, but his body responded faster than his mind. His arms wrapped around Ellya’s waist, pulling her closer.

“Mmhh…” Samuel’s muffled moan broke in between the kiss.

Though Rebecca was still lying on the hospital bed, she forced herself to reach for Samuel’s neck. She scratched gently at the nape of his neck, leaving red marks on his skin.
