TAYLOR

“You will have to stay away from the company for a few days until the rumors die down. Then you can return afterward” Michael said to me after we returned to his office and I nodded my head before taking a seat on the chair before the desk.

“Yeah. I understand” I said while wringing my hands, unsure of what to say after he stood up for me like that in front of the executives. I was sure that I was supposed to thank him though.

“You can have more time to bond with your cat though,” he said and I looked up to see him smiling at me.

Anyone could tell that he was trying to make me feel better but what he didn't know was that I'd never felt better.

“That's true. I'm getting a cat” I smiled back at him and with that, he stood up to come toward me. Then he sat on the chair beside me and turned to face me while I wondered what he was up to.

    CHAPTER 96TAYLORI grumbled when the alarm rang because I wasn’t ready for the day to start yet. Then it stopped, and when I opened my eyes, I saw Michael watching me. Quickly, I covered my face with a blanket as memories from the previous night returned, and he chuckled.“Good morning, love.
