Chapter 22: Stick Together

Not even one word was able to come out of her mouth. Nora turned speechless as if there was a lump inside her throat that hindered her from talking. Seeing the ferocious gaze of her father, she didn't even dare to defend herself. She knew she had no talent in the business world, but she refused to admit it.

Her aunties and uncles had convinced her to take away the Managing Director's position from Kathleen. They even forced her father to dismiss Kathleen from the company. The reason was that the company was built and established by her father and her late mother, so some outsider like Kathleen was not supposed to be part of the company even though she was her father's biological daughter. Kathleen was just a daughter to a former secretary whom her father married, so Nora didn't think someone like Kathleen deserved to have such an important role inside the company.

Nora loathed Kathleen so much because she knew their father favoured Kathleen more than her. Her father ev
