Chapter 21: Failed Investments
Kathleen returned to the company promptly. When she arrived on the top floor, she saw Aaron was asking Tiara, Ryan's secretary if she saw her.
"Did you see Kathleen anywhere?" Aaron asked.
"I don't, Mr Castell. I think she's probably going out to have lunch. It's lunch hour right now," Tiara replied.
Aaron was silent. That couldn't be true because he just had a lunch meeting together with Kathleen before when he met Donna Taylors. He walked back to his office only to realize that Kathleen was returning to her desk again.
"Where did you go?" Aaron asked her immediately even before she had the chance to sit down.
"Uh... I went out to buy something," Kathleen gave a fake excuse and smiled faintly at him to hide the suspicion.
He stared at her sharply and leaned his face closer to her.
