8. Special moments with him

       Saphira's POV

Suddenly I heard a strange noise, it was a cry of someone struggling for breathe.

What could be going on?

I was about to open the door to check what was happening, when the driver door cracked open to reveal Jeffrey.

"You!" I exclaimed with my eye balls almost bugging from their socket.

"Yes it's me" He giggled and closed the door.

"How did you do that? And where's my bodyguard and driver?" I fired.

"They are in the car boot"

" What? Car boot?" I repeated in shock. " Do you want to suffocate them to death?"

" I never thought of that" He shrugged. "Assist me to carry them into the back seat"

" Why would I assist you? I never asked you to put them there" I rolled my eyes.

" But the police wouldn't understand that, when they finds them dead in your car"

" Whatever" 

We both got down and carried them into the passenger's seat. And we both got into the front seats breathing heavily.

"What have you done to them? Why are they not waking up" I managed to say, still panting for air.

" I knocked them out with my magic"

" Huh?"

" Just kidding. I forced them to inhale some sleeping drugs" He laughed.

" This isn't funny. What if they die" I said, a bit curtly.

He stopped laughing immediately.

"Don't worry, it's just temporary. They will  be conscious any time soon" He assured. 

I heaved a sigh of relief and gave him a hard stare.

"What? Don't give me that look, you wanted this after all" 

"Yes I agreed that I wanted to get rid of my bodyguard but not this way " I rolled my eyes.

" Does that mean you're not happy to see me? I only did this because I wanted to lessen down your worries and give you the little freedom you deserve. I didn't mean to cause you any trouble. I'm sorry." he slowly said, staring into my eyes.

I looked into his eyes and I could see sincerity and worry in them. He is the only person who understands me.

"You mean you did all this for me?" I asked as tears welled up in my eyes.

" Yes.. I'm ready to go to any length just to see you smile"

He took such a risk for me.

"I'm sorry for shouting at you..I didn't mean to" I whimpered.

" Why are you crying? Did I say something wrong." He asked, confused.

I just hugged him. 

I am not crying because I'm sad. No! I'm only crying because I have finally meet someone who understands that I'm not a robot that should be controlled. I have finally seen a person who agrees that I have the right to live my life the way I want.

"You didn't say anything wrong. I'm just happy that there's someone who cares about how I feel..Thanks Jeff, thanks" I sniffed and broke from the hug.

"It's nothing. Enough with the sad mood" He grinned.

" Sorry for that" I gave out a nervous laugh.

 "So who's ready to go riding" He announced, smiling.

"Riding?" I repeated. "What about college?"

"Aren't you tired of going to that boring college everyday? Try something new today, you gonna like it. Trust me"

Maybe he's right. I'll forget about college today, I'll forget about mum's warning today and enjoy this beautiful moments with Jeff.

"I'm in. Let's fire on baby" I giggled.

"That's the spirit buddy! Are you ready? " He asked and turned on the ignition switch.

" Always ready"

He moved the steering wheel and the car zoomed off speedily.

"Yeeeeeeeh! This is fun" I yelled in excitement as I brought out my head through the window to feel the action of the fresh breeze on my face.

He played one of my favorite songs through the car radio and we sang along, enjoying the ride.

We laughed and laughed and laughed.

I have never felt such happiness before!

              Sofia's POV

Something is wrong!

I know the fragrance I perceived from Saphira this morning.

It smells familiar! The smell of a demon!

This was the smell that helped us to recognize a demon once we see one. No matter how disguised the demon is, this particular fragrance is bound to give them out.

How did the fragrance get to saphira's body?

Could it be that she had come in contact with Corovi unknowingly? No! It can't happen. 

I have to speak with Lord Andrew.

I briskly walked into my room and shut the door.

I opened my secret wardrobe and brought my white sacred gown. It's a gift given to me by Lord Andrew for giving birth to the chosen one, i received it on the day Saphira was born.

"Whenever you have any important thing to discuss with me urgently, just put on this dress and perform the sacred ritual and there will be a connection between us" He had said.

I put on the gown and sat down with my legs crossed. I slowly closed my eyes and joined my hands in a way that shows that I was mediating.

I enchanted some sacred words.
