When Evelyn saw that the person who had just pinned her against the wall was her boyfriend, Henson, the fear that had gripped her suddenly vanished. Her racing heart calmed, and she looked at him in disbelief before softly uttering, "Henson..."

His face darkened instantly. The sight of her calling him by his name seemed to sour something inside him—like swallowing a bitter pill. He cut her off, his tone sharp with annoyance. "You now call me by my name?"
