I can’t sleep after what I found out. I want to keep my word but, I also want to inform Sir Calix about that matter.

It’s past twelve midnight and I can’t sleep thinking about what I discovered.

Brianna has been fine all day. Differing the previous days is she doesn’t hesitate to answer and her aura is more peaceful all day.

I got up from the bed and left the room. I thought about checking on her. I was about to open the door to her room, but it opened from the inside.

“Sir,” I called out a little hoarsely because of the dryness in my throat.

“What are you doing here?” he asked coldly.

“I was about to check on Brianna. If she were already asleep, sir.”

“She’s already sleeping.”

I nodded. “Is that so, sir? I’m going back to my room then. Good night, sir.”

He didn’t answer, he didn’t nod. A deafening silence fell between Sir Calix and me as well as the entire floor.

I was concerned that a sudden exit would be quite rude.
