NATHALIE’S POV

I woke up because of something, some small thing, that was touching my face over and over.

As consciousness dawned, I found Brianna happily kissing my face, while her father was behind her watching us.

“Good morning.”

When Sir Calix greeted me, Brianna stopped kissing my face and looked at me.

I got up and greeted Sir Calix with, “Good morning.” I also looked at Brianna who was hugging Harrie–her teddy bear. “Good morning, baby.” I greeted her sweetly.

She stood up from the bed full of joy and sat on my lap then hugged me. I kissed her on the top of her head.

“Have you brushed your teeth?” I softly asked.

She shook her head.

“Do you want to eat?”

She nodded.

“I’m just going to change clothes.” Sir Calix said as Brianna and I looked at him at the same time.

“Sir, where’s your stuff?”

I only realized now he didn’t have a suitcase or bag with him last night.

“I’m going to borrow clothes from Harrison.” he said casually.
