“Oh my gosh, Calix!” Veronica exclaimed joyfully upon entering her office, noticing me standing before her office table.

She dashed towards me, ready to embrace me, but I swiftly raised the envelope I was holding, which instinctively stopped her in her tracks right in front of me.
