로그인CALIX’S POV 🍃
–
After Nathalie closed her apartment door, I didn’t leave. I hung around for a few minutes, trying to come up with an excuse so she’d let me go inside her apartment, but nothing came to mind.
I let out a sigh, stepped away from her apartment door, and made my way to the elevator.
While waiting for the elevator to open, I took my phone out of
NATHALIE’S POV 🍃–I got to my feet. “Please go ahead and eat, don’t wait for me. I just need to make one quick call. Calix, could you watch over Xander for a moment?”“No problem, I’ll take care of Xander. Head back straight away so we can have our meal all together.”“Hm.” was my answer. Then I left the kitchen.I went upstairs and got my phone.I opened Tyler’s messages.'Good morning, Nathalie ❤ . Noted all your instructions.'He sent a picture of a bag with the things I told him were inside, with the message, 'Everything is prepared for my child and I to go out.''Even though Sapphire doesn’t know, for me this is father and daughter bonding. Thank you for letting me take Sapphire out.''I promise, I’ll take good care of my child.’ A soft smile came to my lips as I read the message. There was another picture, a selfie of the two of them. 'We’re ready to go.''I took Sapphire to the company for a while. I was about to ask you but you didn’t answer my calls.'I checked my phone’s n
NATHALIE’S POV 🍃–I managed to reply to Tyler’s text message this morning.‘Good morning, Ty. Bring Sapphire an extra pairs of clothes. Take three extra sets of clothes for her. Remind her to bring extra clothes as well, and she can decide what she’d like to wear. Also bring three or five small face towel to wipe her face and five a towel to put on her back when she sweats. Don’t forget to bring her powder; I have it in front of my vanity table in my bedroom.’After sending the message, I went downstairs. As soon as I went down, I saw Calix sleeping soundly on the couch.Earlier this morning, just before sunrise, if Xander hadn’t stirred in his sleep and looked for me, I dread to think where those deep kisses with Calix would have led us.I washed my face first, brushed my teeth, then prepared our breakfast.I’m in a bit of a rush to cook,
NATHALIE’S POV 🍃–I swatted his hand away from my cheek and hand, then slapped him hard across the face.“You’re married, but you can say those words to another woman?”“Because it’s you I love. You are the only one I truly love, Nathalie.”Something inside me, especially my heart, was happy with that. He loves me; he still loves me.But he is still married, and this is unacceptable from any angle or perspective. And if he learns what we talked about that last time before his memories of me and our child fade away… I know he’ll just be furious.I’d better not waste a single moment. It was so hard for me to accept he suddenly didn’t love me back then. But what if the same thing
NATHALIE’S POV 🍃–He just stood there staring at me, wide-eyed with disbelief. As if he needed time to make sense of my words.“What’re you talking about?” He pressed.“What am I saying?” I retorted, hardly able to believe my own words, mixed with a sense of disgust how cluelss he is.“Yes.” he answered confidently, which annoyed me even more. “What wrong have I done for you to say such things to me? Tell me.” he asked, his tone calm but pained.“Really? You don’t know?”The expression on his entire face softened. “Make me understand, Nathalie.”“Just what you mentioned? Whatever problem you and Veronica have, or whatever you really feel for her, it doesn’t matter to me at all.”“Nathalie...”“Your motive for telling your wife tho
NATHALIE’S POV 🍃–Having brewed a cup of steaming black coffee, I set it down before Calix.I sat facing him.Right now we’re in the kitchen. He just finished his cleaning and shower, so we only got to face each other just now.“I’m sorry I haven’t talked to you since yesterday morning.”Oh? Was my suspicion right?“I couldn’t help but get jealous when you were talking to Tyler, calling him 'baby' so sweet.”I blinked, blinked again, and blinked once moreThat meant he didn’t hear me talking to Sapphire?“Also, I want to explain something. I think you overheard my conversation with Veronica.”I forced a smile and tried my best to show I wasn’t affected.“Y-You don’t have to explain anything. That kind of talk between you two is totally natural. You’re married, she’s your wife… ..
NATHALIE’S POV 🍃–I’ve finished my work, but I’m still not sleepy. Now I’m on the side near the outlet where I’m sitting on the pillow-soft chair cushion. My table is a foldable table, and from my place I can see Xander — fast asleep.I close my laptop and also remove the charger from the plug. I checked my phone and saw a message from Tyler. One of Tyler’s messages is a stolen picture of Sapphire where she’s already going up the stairs, and the rest of his messages are text messages.‘How are you and Xander there?’‘You can call me whenever it’s convenient for you to talk. 😊’‘Sapphire and I miss you. ❤’There’s a voice message, ‘I miss you so much, Nathalie. 💕’ in a deep and hoarse voice.I sent a text message to Tyler with the content, ‘Xander and I are doing well here. Thanks for saying hello and taking care of Sapphire. Sorry, I can’t call you right now. I’m a little sleepy.’I’m just sleepy; that’s the whole reason. I’m really not all there right now, and I might blurt out
NATHALIE’S POV-“Sir, let’s try this.” I pointed to a shop full of various souvenirs and food items.Sir Calix looked at the shop from roof to ground. We’ve been to so many souvenir shops, I can’t even count how many we’ve been to. The shops we visited all carried similar products; however, Sir Ca
NATHALIE’S POV-When we arrived at the airport earlier, someone picked us up and we went straight inside the plane. Such an event did not surprise me. Of course I was with Sir Calix.I didn’t even hold the ticket. I didn’t even have time to read where we were going because I thought we were going
NATHALIE’S POV-As we got off Sir Calix’s plane and we’re about to go into the airport to get my stuff, he stopped walking, so I stopped walking too. He took the phone out of his pants pocket and answered the caller, “What? Who did this?”Sir Calix briefly glanced at me before disconnecting the c
NATHALIE’S POV-I opened my mouth but chose to close it again. If we were to spend the night here in Molokai, I would like to make the most of our stay here, like sightseeing. I might not go here again in the next ten years. I haven’t memorized Molokai, and I lack extra funds for sightseeing.“Is
