JENNIFER WANG…..

The palace was alive with movement in the morning. Wolves coming and going, servants carrying trays, warriors sparring in the courtyard beyond the tall windows. Everything about it felt… busy, purposeful, alive.

Reis walked beside me as though I belonged there, his easy stride commanding the respect of everyone we passed. Heads dipped, greetings were murmured, Your Majesty. Her Majesty.

The word Her Majesty hit me like a stone every time. I wasn’t his Luna. I wasn’t staying.

“This way,” Reis said, gesturing toward a wide balcony that overlooked the courtyard. The air was crisp, scented with pine and sunlight. From here, I could see the entire pack bustling below families, children laughing, wolves running free at the edges of the forest.

“They’re your people now,” Reis said quietly, his hand brushing against the small of my back.

I stiffened. “No. They’re your people. I’m only here temporarily.”

He gave me a look that said he didn’t believe a word of it, but he didn’t

JENNIFER…..The celebration carried on long into the night. Music, dancing, and the pack’s laughter filled every hall of the palace. But for me, everything had blurred into a haze after the crown touched my head.I smiled, greeted, and raised my glass when they toasted me. Yet my heart had been beating to one rhythm only—his.Reis never once let go of my hand. And when the crowd began to thin and the music softened, he leaned close to my ear, his voice low and commanding.“Enough for tonight. Let's go to our room, you look exhausted.”The words sent a shiver down my spine.‘Is he going to claim me?’He led me away from the lights and noise, through quiet corridors until we reached his chambers, our chambers now. The heavy doors closed behind us with a soft thud that echoed like a promise.I turned, suddenly nervous. The crown still sat on my head, the gown heavy on my shoulders. “I should change now,”“You’re perfect as you are,” he interrupted, his golden eyes sweeping over me with s

  • MY EX-MATE WANTS ME BACK   179. Crowning The Queen

JENNIFER….Today is the day I become queen. It still doesn't feel entirely real, no matter how many times I say it to myself. But as I sit in front of the mirror, surrounded by the quiet hum of voices and rustling silk, reality is wrapping itself around me like the weight of the crown I’ll soon wear.My mother is here, smoothing my hair with hands that used to brush away tears and fix scraped knees. Her touch is gentle but purposeful. I can feel the emotion she’s holding back, pride, maybe even a little sorrow. She catches my eye in the mirror and gives me the softest smile, the kind only a mother can give. It makes my chest tighten.Behind her, my three sisters-in-law move with practiced grace. Luna Adeline is adjusting the folds of my ceremonial gown, ensuring every line lies perfectly. Ella is choosing the final pieces of jewelry, delicate, heirloom pieces that once belonged to past queens. And Avianna is handling the final touches of makeup, steady hands brushing color onto my che

  • MY EX-MATE WANTS ME BACK   178. Heating Moments in Fitting Room

JENNIFER WANG….The boutique was grand, lined with mirrors that caught every angle of me as the assistant ushered me into the fitting room with armfuls of gowns. Reis followed casually, his commanding presence impossible to ignore even in such a delicate place.I slipped into the first dress, its white silk hugging me in ways that felt foreign, overwhelming. When I stepped out, his gaze lifted to meet mine. For the first time, I saw his expression falter, eyes softening, lips parting slightly as though words had abandoned him.“This one doesn’t suit,” I muttered quickly, embarrassed under his burning stare. I turned back toward the fitting room, trying to escape before my heartbeat gave me away.Inside, I tugged at the next gown. The fabric was beautiful but complicated, with a lace-up back I struggled to tie alone. I managed to slip it on, but when I bent slightly to adjust the hem, my hair caught in the delicate string at the back.“Damn it…” I whispered, tugging carefully, but the

JENNIFER WANG…..The moment his parents excused themselves to prepare for the coronation arrangements, I nearly bolted from the dining room. I told myself I needed fresh air, that I needed to walk off the restless energy coiling in my veins. But in truth, I just needed distance from him.I had barely stepped into the hall when a firm hand wrapped around my wrist and tugged me back. My breath caught as my back hit the wall, my pulse spiking.Reis! He loomed over me, his eyes dark, his presence filling every inch of space. His hand was still on my wrist, warm and unyielding.“You lied,” he said softly, his voice a dangerous purr that slid down my spine. My lips parted. “I… I don’t know what you mean,”His head tilted, and that infuriating smirk curved his mouth. “When my mother asked if you slept well.”Heat rushed to my cheeks, my throat tightening. I averted my gaze, but his hand slid up from my wrist to my chin, gently forcing me to meet his eyes.“You didn’t sleep,” he murmured, so

  • MY EX-MATE WANTS ME BACK   175. Teasing That Left Me To The Edge

JENNIFER WANG….The first thing I became aware of was warmth when I woke up in the morning. Not the kind from blankets or sunlight, but the steady, living heat pressed against my back, the weight of an arm draped securely around my waist. My eyes fluttered open, and for a moment, I forgot where I was. The silk sheets, the golden morning light pouring through the tall windows, the scent of pine and something darker, rich, intoxicating wrapped around me.Then it hit me. Reis.I stiffened instantly, trying to wiggle free, but his arm only tightened, pulling me flush against him. His breath brushed the back of my neck, slow and deliberate.“Good morning, little wolf” he murmured, his voice husky from sleep.I swallowed hard. “Reis… let go.”“No.” The word was simple, final. “You belong here. With me.”Heat rushed to my cheeks. “I told you I wanted my own room,”“And I told you no,” he cut in, his tone maddeningly calm. I could hear the smirk in his voice. “Besides… you didn’t seem to mind
