A date with Rowan

Vivian rushed to look out the window only to see a big black tinted jeep waiting for her with men dressed in a black suit and glasses waiting for her.

She quickly closed the window and opened it back as if she couldn’t believe what she was seeing.

Are you there? – Rowan

Vivian read the message but refused to reply. She was still in shock, she sat down near the windows and steeled herself, she made a deal and she has to honour it, if this is how it’s going to be done, so be it.

Yes. Sorry, I went to confirm the ride – Vivian

Alright then. I’ll be expecting – Rowan

Vivian let out a sigh. She grabbed the mini gown and put it on along with the shoes. She wasn’t one for accessories, so she didn’t have any. Piper, however, had lots. She checked Pipers wardrobe and found a pair of white ear rings and necklace, she borrowed them and put them on.

She stood infront of the mirror, her hair packed into a tight bun wearing a beautiful black mini gown and lovely shoes to match, white earrings and white necklace, she looked really beautiful, her mother always said she looked more beautiful whenever she let her hair down, she decided to do just that, she released her long curly dark hair and watched it fall to her shoulders, her light brown eyes popped out more. Not knowing how to apply makeup, she opted for lip gloss and a little powder on her face,. Shewas ready to go.

She put the uneaten sandwich back in the fridge. Piper was going to fry her for that but she will he appeased by the gist she will receive at the end of the day. She closed the door behind her, locking it and putting the key in her purse.

“Miss Vivian?” A built brown haired man wearing a black suit and glasses called out to her.

“Y-Yes?” She nervously replied.

Everyone walking on the road were staring at her. She hated attention, some were even taking pictures of her.

“I’m Fred, Mr Rowan’s Personal Bodyguard. He said to escort you to the restaurant where you’ll be having breakfast together ma’am.” Fred explained.

“Oh okay. Sure.” Vivian said.

“Please follow me.” Fred offered his hand, Vivian put her small hand in his as she followed him into the Jeep.

Another one of the men in suit opened the back seat door for her, she swallowed her nervousness and entered. They closed the door for her while Fred entered from the other side, sitting next to her.

“Are you ready? Ma’am. “ Fred asked.

“Yes.” Vivian replied.

“Head out, boys.” Fred ordered. The driver started the car, and they were off.

The ride was silent, the glasses were tinted, It was a one-sided glass, she could see the people outside but they couldn’t see her. She had to admit it was cool. She never thought she would experience something like this in her life.

“Where are we headed to?” Vivian asked curiously.

“Golden Diners.” Fred replied almost immediately as though he had been expecting the question.

Golden Diners is the world most famous restaurant. It can only be gotten by the richest people in the world. Reservations had to be made years before cause it’s always booked down. The meals are ridiculously expensive and small for a common person, but for the rich and affluent it’s worth every penny.

“Oh wow. What’s your boss like?” Vivian asked, looking to make small conversations with Fred, maybe to get a little information about Rowan from him.

“He’s my boss.” Fred replied.

“And?” Vivian pressed.

“I’m sorry, I can’t say much about him.” Fred said. His face was neutral as he paid attention to the road and surroundings.

“I see. So, how did you become his personal bodyguard?” Vivian asked.

“Huh?” Fred turned to face Vivain, shocked at the question. He wasn’t expecting a question about himself from her.

“Yeah.”

“Well, I applied, and I got the job.” He replied straightforwardly.

“What made you so special?” Vivian asked, irritating Fred. The driver smirked hearing the question.

“I don’t know. My qualifications,  I guess.” He replied, frowning.

The driver approaches a huge gate manned by armed guards. A guard stepped forward and motioned for the driver to wine the glass down.

Fred wined down instead and handed over a ticket to the guard. The guard looked at the ticket and Fred and Vivian. Vivian smiled and waved nervously.

“Open up!” The guard yelled.

The gates automatically clicked and slid away from the road. They drove it to meet a majestic view, the diner was stories high, it was like a mix of modern Chinese and olden Chinese aesthetic, it was lovely.

“Come on in.” Fred opened the door and took Vivian’s hands, leading her down from the car.

Out of the diner, Rowan walked out, a white suit with golden cuffs and design and an equally white pant with shiny black shoes. He looked very handsome. Vivian stared at him in shock as he walked towards her.

“Hi.” He said as he stood in front of her.

“Hey.” Vivian replied, taking in everything.

“You look really beautiful.”  He complimented.

“You also look beautiful.” Vivian replied, lost in the view.

 “Beautiful?” Rowan asked, confused.

“Yes..No..Sorry, I meant handsome. You look handsome as well.” Vivian stuttered.

Rowan smiled at her and offered his hand. She placed her hand in his, which sent shivers down both their spines.

 “Shall we?” He asked politely.

“Yes please.” Vivian replied, her heart pounding inside her.
