Chapter 2

'Did my wish just come true? That fast?' Mina could not believe her eyes.

"Mr. Park?" Ms. Kim suddenly showed up.

Mina looked at Ms. Kim. 'Does she know him?'

Kian greeted her and introduced himself.

Ms. Kim's smile widened. "Nice to see you, Mr. Park."

She then turned her head to Mina.

"Your grandfather informed me about him this morning." Ms. Kim could not hide her excitement.

"I see." Mina nodded, trying to appear she's not bothered by Kian's strong appeal.

"Mr. Park, I'm sorry that Mina took time to let you get inside. She doesn't talk to strangers." Ms. Kim said while opening the gate widely.

Mina blushed in embarrassment. 'But I just did at Hannan Street earlier. I even walked with him to the bus stop.'

Ms. Kim signaled Mina to escort him to the house and then she left.

Mina told him to walk straight to where the door to the house was. Mina was walking behind him.

She took a deep breath silently. She could smell his scent, like flowers showered in spring rain.

'What is this guy? Is he even a person? He looks perfect even how he walks. His back is gorgeously manly. His height, I think he's 185 cm tall.' Mina was deep in her admiration for her new tutor.

Without any warning, he turned his back. Mina got startled.

"You walk first."

She nodded and tried to smile prettily. She hoped it's pretty but he didn't seem affected.

Kian continued walking.

'But where are gonna study?' Mina wondered.

----------

'In my room?' Mina was surprised but she liked her grandfather's idea.

Mina was nervously lost. She had never felt this before. It was her first time to be talking and being with a guy. Not only a guy, but a handsome guy.

The door opened. Mina quickly went to her study table and cleaned it.

'Of all the days, why now? Why didn't Ms. Kim tell me? I could have prepared for this special day.' Mina kept talking in her head.

Her room was okay though. It even smelled nice. Only her study table was kind of messy but everything looked fine. Mina was just insanely tense, obviously because of her good looking tutor.

"Here's your chair, teacher." Mina offered him a chair and then sat on hers.

'I can finally address him properly. I still can't believe he will be my tutor from now on.'

Kian took a seat and got a thick book from his backpack.

"Can I a..ask you something?"

"What's that?" He didn't look at her.

"How did my grandfather know you?" This time, she bravely asked Kian.

"You did listen to me when I told you not to trust easily. That's good. But don't worry, I have the qualifications to teach you."

"My question. You didn't answer it." Mina spoke her mind unknowingly.

Kian suddenly stood up and took out the wallet in his pocket. He sat again and showed Mina his ID.

"You're from SN University???" Mina was stunned. Her tutor was no joke. He was sure he's very smart and studious.

SN University was the most prestigious university in the country. Only the smartest students could enter that school. Most successful people in different professions were from this university.

"But SN University is an hour drive to Hannan. Why did you end up practice teaching in SA Arts High School? Besides, SN University has a high school department." Mina's questions piled up already.

Kian tapped the book in front of Mina. "Open your book now. I came here to teach you and not to get interrogated."

------------

Kian just finished discussing the lessons.

Mina was already solving the Math problems he had given her. She could not focus because of her tutor's scent. Mina could also see his perfection even though he was sitting beside him. She guessed he was reading his book while waiting for her to finish.

'A novel? Or a textbook?' She shook her head. She was really distracted.

Mina was also curious about her tutor's thoughts at the moment.

'Is he not bothered that he is alone with a girl in a room? Only the two of us? Is his heart racing like mine?'

Mina wanted to spank her face for thinking much about her tutor, knowing that she was having a hard time answering the problems.

"Teacher.."

"Yes?"

Kian was already looking at her when she lifted her head. Those eyes. His eyes could surely melt even the hardest stones in the world. His eyes were very enchanting. He looked really serious but his eyes were enough to make her heart beat faster. No, a lot faster!

'Goodness!' Mina was already dying inside.

"Umm.. I f..finished a..answering."

Mina wanted to cuss for stuttering. 'What's wrong with you, Mina?'

Kian moved his chair closer to Mina to share the Math book with her.

While checking her answers, Kian was explaining  every detail of the questions and solutions. But Mina's soul already left her. She was sitting super close beside her tutor.

His scent. His voice. His minty fresh breath. Mina could also see glimpse of his flawlessly red lips. She was not looking at her book, but at her tutor's lips.

'You're not thinking weird things, right? Of course, I'm just amazed how his lips are pretty. I mean, even prettier than mine.' Mina was lost in her thoughts.

"Amazing."  Mina whispered without realizing it.

"Amazing??" Kian looked at her with annoyance.

"Yes! Really." Mina answered, flashing him a cute smile.

She was definitely out of her mind.

What she just said made Kian close the book. It snapped Mina out of her foolish thoughts.

"You didn't get even one correct answer. And you find it amazing?" His voice sounded pissed off.

"Ah, it's not like that, teacher. What I mean is--"

"Answer your homework." Kian didn't let her finish.

He stood up and walked to the door. He opened it.

But Mina stopped him. "I wasn't talking about it. I said amazing because--"

"Because what?" He cut her again.

'What are you doing, Mina? Are you crazy? Where is your brain? Why didn't you keep to yourself what you were thinking? Why did you say it? What now? What would you do? You're dead!'

She tried to calm herself but her tutor's strong presence was too much to handle. "Y..You. Umm v..very smart."

'I hate you, Mina! You look stupid now. You can't even make a good sentence.' Mina scolded herself.

Mina felt like her tutor's eyes were going to shoot her dead.

He didn't say anything.

The door closed. He just left.

-----------

'He doesn't use social media. It makes sense. He seems to be a very serious person.' Mina thought.

But she was persistent to find him on whatever social networking sites. She typed her tutor's name again.

"Yes, Kian?" A male voice suddenly spoke.

Mina quickly turned her head to where the voice came from.

A guy was on his phone.

'Kian? My tutor?' Mina thought, as if there's only one Kian in Hannan.

She pretended to lock her eyes on the phone so she could intently listen to the guy next to her. But he wasn't talking.

The bus arrived.

The guy rushed to the bus, he's still on the phone.

'Same ride with me? Nice.' Mina hurriedly got on the bus.

As soon as she swiped her transportation card, she discreetly eyed the guy. He took the vacant seat in the middle row. Luckily, Mina spotted a seat behind him. Though he was not on the phone anymore, she still wanted to observe him. He might call him again.

Mina sat by the window. Her eyes were on the guy in front of her.

But suddenly, Mina's phone rang. She got a bit startled.

'Unknown number?' She hesitated to answer.

She ended the call because it kept ringing. But the same number was calling again.

"Hello?" She answered the call this time.

The voice on the other line was not speaking.

"Hello?" She repeated.

There was still no answer.

"Hello? Who is this?"

Silence.

Mina ended the call. She let out a sigh. It made her feel a bit annoyed.

The bus stopped. Mina thought the guy would get off but not. He was just looking outside the window.

Another bus stop but he remained sitting.

Third bus stop.

The guy suddenly rose up.

'Oh! He's getting off here.' Mina looked outside the window to see the place.

It's Gangsil, a rich district in Hannan. A lot of business centers and establishments were here.

Gangsil was also known for its Sunn Tower, a high-rise residence of famous celebrities, influential government officials and wealthy businessmen.

Mina's eyes got fixated on him as he's getting off the bus.

A tall guy in all black met him at the bus stop. As they sat at the waiting area, Mina recognized a familiar face and stance.

She was totally sure even though he was wearing a black cap.

It's him, her tutor!
