Ch0003: A Visitor

"Uncle please..." I trembled tearfully as I tried to get away from the middle-aged man with a disgusting protruding belly that was stalking towards me.

He is my aunt's husband, Marcello, the omega of Dark Moon pack.

"You little bitch. Why are you still acting so reserved when other men already had their ways with your fucking loose cunt? I promise it'll be over before you know it. Just let me have a taste of you before the Alpha comes for you."

His smile displayed brownish-yellow teeth that sent a wave of nausea in me. As I pulled my dress that's already been torn earlier when he tried to grab me, I realized there was really no where to hide.

"Wahhh!!! Wah!!!!!"

My face beamed with a glimmer of hope as I heard my son's cries from outside.

Almost immediately, someone pounded on the door and then I heard my cousin's voice,

"Sapphira, are you there? Why did you lock yourself in? Your little bastard is about to blow off my ears so get out now before I throw him out of this house!"

I panicked. "Uncle, my baby... Please let me out."

A scowl appeared on uncle Marcelo's face as he realized his plans have been disrupted once again. He has been abusing me since I came to live with my aunt as a young orphan.

But he never got past touching or groping me in inappropriate places because someone always interrupted every time and I managed to escape.

Besides my aunt, Elisa is a very cruel person. She might only maltreat me and the servants but she could also be very wicked with her husband and daughter.

The knocks came again. It seemed Natalia was getting impatient and I was scared she might actually throw my baby away so I pleaded once more.

He finally turned around and unlocked the door. I dashed out immediately; the door slamming behind me.

"What were you doing in my parents' room for so long? You even locked yourself," Natalia looked at me suspiciously as she handed my son to me.

His chubby face was reddened with tears and my heart ached as I tried to pacify him.

"Bitch tell me. Did you steal my mom's things again?" Natalia barked and I got annoyed.

"No! Aunt asked me to clean her room and that is what I was doing. If you weren't too busy entertaining your friends, you would have heard."

Natalia looked upset but I didn't care. "Your son disrupted my get-together with my friends. You had better find something to do with your noisy bastard or one day, you'll really wake up and not find him anymore!"

I refused to retort and turned around. She laughed mockingly at my worn-out dress which was a complete contrast to her beautiful and luxurious one.

"It's times like this that makes me wish Vicenzo will see you and I'll see if he'll still like you then. Dirty, poor slut."

Once again, I refused to react to her words and walked away. Natalia is just jealous because our Alpha's son, Vicenzo started to show interest in me a while ago.

Even though I already made it clear I didn't like him, he didn't stop pursuing me and doing things that made aunt Elisa and her daughter hate me even more.

What I didn't expect was that Natalia would plot against me with some of her friends, drug me and get me forcefully defiled.

That was how I got my son, Mateo. He's the sweetest thing that's ever happened to me.

So although I'll never forgive them for turning me to an outcast in the pack because I got pregnant with a bastard child like they call him, I don't regret having Mateo.

"Is this why you were crying, baby?" I cooed at him as I got into my tiny room that used to be a storage room and opened his nappy.

He needed a change of diaper and that was the reason he had been crying so loudly.

As soon as I got him changed, he gave me those cutest, little smiles that I couldn't respond to because of the thought weighed on my mind.

Just some days ago, uncle and aunt had received a marriage proposal from the alpha of a neighboring pack, Bloodstone pack.

But because aunt already has her eyes set on Vicenzo for Natalia, she was reluctant to agree. Also, I heard there were news about the alpha being one of the rumoured cursed quads.

So I understood their reluctance to give away their only daughter to a cursed alpha and subject her to a life of misery. I only underestimated their wickedness.

Who would have expected that instead of declining the offer, uncle Marcelo offered to give me out instead of Natalia. That way, they won't offend the powerful alpha and also build social connections with him.

Once Natalia also gets Vicenzo, they will achieve the goal of being one of the most powerful families in the pack.

"Ba... Ba... Ba..." I should be happy at Mateo's attempt at his first words but my mind was clouded with sadness and despair.

Is it because I am an orphan that they treat me this way? I thought my late mother is supposed to be aunt Elisa's sister. Why does she treat her own niece this way?

"It'd be best if we find out the pack the wolf belongs to first before taking step for him," Roberto was saying as we walked back to our cars after a tensed conversation with the soldiers.

If this continues, the unknown killers might start to target our own people instead of outsiders. We needed to find who they were and why they were doing this.

But before anything, we also had to inform the pack of deceased about what has befallen him.

I was lost in thoughts even when I got into my car. Unexpectedly, the door flew open again and someone rushed into my hands.

"Rafael!" She gushed as my car and senses assailed with her scent.

"Sophia?" I called in surprise. "When did you return?"
