CHAPTER 7: DON'T DISRESPECT HER.

Immediately, Mr. Martin climbed back the stairs to his room. He took his cellphone and calked Carol immediately.

“Do you like it? You see, it will be easier for your daughter to agree to the marriage,” Carol said then giggled.

“Enough! Enough, carol, you didn't give you the permission to disrespect my daughter. You went too far by invading her privacy. You are lucky that my daughter is involved here, you wouldn't have liked it,” Mr. Martin said.

“Huh? Really? What would you have done? Sue me?” She asked full of jest. “Don't tell me you are threatening me, you are the one who sighed to the marriage deal so that we don't back out in the agreement we have. I can't imagine that you want to play the dirty trick on me,” she retorted.

“I told you that I will handle it, why are you doing this? I know my daughter, she will agree to it. I need to take her slowly,” Mr. Martin said.

“I am sorry, but we have no time. In fact, you should thank me than blame me. I was trying to help you,” Carol said.

“Next time, please don't, you have ruined everything, carol. I don't know if I can trust you again,” he said, then hug up.

Ivana and Paul's picture were trending everywhere on social media. Some of Ivana's friend couldn't believe it either. Ivana's cellphone was ringing none stop. She knew that everyone was aware of his sham engagement to Paul through what was trending. Ivana was aware that there was no way she was going to convince them that it was not true. So, she decided to ignore all the calls. It is the only person she was dying to speak to was Sammy, who had calked get immediately after seeing what was trending online.

Ivana took the taxi and left, she texted Sammy to meet her and a certain hotel. She was aware that paparazzi will be everywhere waiting for her. After all, she was an heir to the Luhyahood dream company, well, that's what people know. So writing anything about her accompanied by her picture will make a massive sell.

Paul enjoyed the attention he was getting. He was feeling like someone walking on the top of the world, who wouldn't be happy being associated or rather engagement to a gem like Ivana?

Ivana arrived to the agreed address and walked in, she spotted Sammy already seated at their usual place.

“I am sorry I am late…” Ivana said as she pulled the chair and sat.

Sammy was fuming with anger, his eyes hooded and bloody red. He was fuming with rage and forgot to act like a gentleman.

“I know you deserve an explanation of what is going on. Actually, I have no idea what is happening, I woke up to these, to seeing my picture with a strange man on the front page and…”

“Really? Babe, you are smiling to him on this front page. How can you lie to me so openly and confidently? How can you do this to me?” Sammy asked as the stared directly in Ivana eyes.

Ivana swallowed hard, she couldn't maintain eye contact with him. She felt like his eyes were staring deep down in her heart than her eyes.

“You know me, I like smiling, but I swear, I don't know when and how this picture was taken. Believe me, my love, you are the only one for me. I love you, and you know it, the thing is just forced. Actually, it's my dad that ….”

Sammy raised his hand up and asked Ivana to shut up. He would rather not listen to her anymore.

“Ivana, I don't deserve any explanation. It's okay I have no bad feelings towards you, it's now clear to me that indeed we come from different world and our love story is just a fairy tale. I can't imagine you have known the man for five years when we have known each other for five years. You were already in the relationship when I met you, right? Go ahead and marry him, I can see you were engaged yesterday,” Sammy said as he blinked back his tears.

Ivana was his first and true love, he was heartbroken when he saw her pictures on the front page of several newspapers. When he read the story written about them, he felt like his heart will come out. He couldn't believe that Ivana had been cheating on him or vice versa. The way he loves Ivana couldn't be explained on paper, it could only be explained by them spending the rest of their lives together as he showed him how much he had loved her.

“Listen to me my love, it's not true, it's not what you think. I have no idea how they took those pictures, I just woke up to this,” Ivana said.

“Yeah, you just woke up to this. Are you taking me for a fool? Ivana, how can you tell me that you have no idea about it? This man and his family visited you yesterday, and you agreed to be engaged. There is no way your beautiful face will glad the front page of each newspaper without your consent. I am sorry that I thought we could spend the rest of our life together, Ivana. But now I understand that we come from different world that can't meet, I wish you nothing but the best, thank you for breaking my heart into pieces Ivana,” Sammy Said then stood up and aced a lingering kiss on Ivana's forehead as he exited the hotel.

“No, let's talk please, don't walk out on me. It's not what you think,” Ivana Said as she stood up and held Sammy's hand.

Sammy paused and traced Ivana's hand before he looked at her.

“Don’t make me hurt you,” He said politely, but she didn't let her hand go. Ivana continued holding it.

“Let's fight for our love, I am not engaged, please,” Ivana begged.

“Don't make me disrespect the universe by raising my hand on a woman. Ivana, I don't mean to hurt you, let go off my hand,” Sammy said politely, but it comes out as an order.

Ivana left it as she wiped her tears, then stared at him walk out in her.

She had no strength left to convince him.

Sammy left for his home and didn't go to work. Unfortunately, Mr. Martin had asked his bodyguards to follow Ivana a d investigate any person she will be meeting with. So two bodyguards followed Sammy, while one remained to watch over her.
