I could taste the sweetness of Nyra's blood in my mouth. And it took everything within me not to swallow it.

My whole body was still trembling from what I had just done. But at the same time my vampire was dying for an extra taste and more.

It took every strength in my core for me to keep the remaining blood in my mouth as I staggered out of her room.
