Kieran's POV

Just for a heartbeat.

Just long enough.

The strike was going to hit.

And it was going to kill her.

My body moved on instinct, but I was too far. The arena wall, sun-bleached and harsh, stood between us. Rules held me back. Distance betrayed me.

Nalani lifted her arm to block, but the attack came with brutal precision. I hurled my blade instinctively, not at the opponent, but toward the sand near her feet. A last desperate attempt to give her something to defend herself with.

  • MY TWIN ALPHA'S    Chapter 19 - THE SILVER AWAKENING

Nalani's POV The noise hit me first. A roar of panic, outrage and disbelief that swelled through the arena like a crashing wave. I felt it roll over me even as my vision blurred around the edges and my knees weakened beneath me. Kieran’s arms were already around my waist, steadying me, and Caspian at my other side, his expression carved from something dark and strained. The sand beneath my feet felt unstable, as if the world itself had tilted sharply off its axis.I barely heard the shouts from the officials as the crowd surged against the barrier, demanding answers. The moment the masked man shot that arrow, everything stopped. The match halted mid movement. Every spectator forgot how to breathe. My senses were still chasing the moment the sharp whistle cut the air and instinct made me move, taking the shot in Caspian’s place. The impact still burned through my ribs. Both impacts did.Caspian lifted me before my legs could give way completely. The crowd erupted again, their uproar e

I hurled my blade instinctively, not at the opponent, but toward the sand near her feet. A last desperate attempt to give her something to defend herself with. But it wouldn’t reach her in time. Her opponent’s strike slammed down with unrelenting force. She tried to dodge. She was not fast enough. In that instant, the world collapsed into sound and light and fear.I realized something with brutal clarity. I was about to watch the woman I loved die.The strike connected. Not a glancing blow. Not a scratch. A full, devastating impact. The sound tore through my chest, echoing like bones snapping under stone.Nalani’s body whipped backward. Sand exploded around

  • MY TWIN ALPHA'S    Chapter 17 - EDGE OF THE ARENA

Caspian’s POVThe arena was louder than usual. It always was on tournament days, but today the noise crawled under my skin like static. The cheers, the shouts, the clashing of weapons from the match before Nalani’s. All of it blended into a restless hum that refused to quiet.Kieran sat beside me, leaning back with that false casual posture he used when he was uncomfortable. His foot bounced. His fingers tapped the railing. His smile was crooked, charming, practiced, and brittle. Most people saw his easy confidence. I saw the strain beneath it.I was the opposite. Calm on the outside, even when something was tearing at me internally. Especially then. And today, something was tearing at me.Nalani.She marched into the arena with her shoulders squared and her jaw set, pure fury wrapped in focus. Her anger rolled off her in cold waves, sharp enough that I swore the air around her vibrated. She didn’t look at us. Not once. Not even for a second. The distance between us felt wider than th

  • MY TWIN ALPHA'S    Chapter 16 - SHADOWS OF DECEPTION

Nalani’s POVThe first light of dawn filtered through the thin curtains, pale and almost cruel against my skin. My eyes burned from lack of sleep, from the restless hours spent turning over the rogue wolf in my mind, replaying Kieran’s hushed conversation under the moon. I had religiously avoided him for the past 3days hoping this unease within me would reduce but no … it got worse. My wolf snarled beneath my skin, angry, impatient, restless. I could not wait.I found him near the training grounds, boots scuffing lightly against the frost-hardened earth. Kieran’s eyes lifted to meet mine, calm but cold, like he had anticipated this confrontation from the moment I awoke.“Kieran,” I said, voice low and sharp, the tension coiling in my throat.“I need answers. Who was that rogue you met on the night I was injured from the tournament? And why are you hiding it from me?” I have given you time to come to me about it but you have been quiet. He tilted his head, that lazy grin playing on hi

  • MY TWIN ALPHA'S    Chapter 15 - SHATTERED MASK

Nalani’s POVMorning came too quickly. It spilled across my face in warm gold, soft and innocent, as though last night had never happened, as though I hadn’t stood frozen under the moonlight watching Kieran speak to a rogue wolf in hushed urgency. As though everything hadn’t tilted sideways inside my chest, shattering the remaining pieces of certainty I had been protecting.I lay there for a moment, staring at the ceiling, letting the weight of my confusion settle over me. The air felt thick. Heavy. Like truth and lies were stitched into it.My wolf stirred restlessly beneath my skin. She was more present after I met my mates. We should have gone after him.I shut her out gently. We didn’t know enough. We should have demanded answers. From which mate? I asked her bitterly. The one who still doesn't want us anywhere close to the tournament or the one who keeps secrets? She didn’t have an answer.Neither did I.But if Kieran was hiding something… if Caspian was too… then pretending igno

  • MY TWIN ALPHA'S    Chapter 14 - MOONLIGHT CONFESSIONS

Nalani’s POVThe storm had quieted and I had been treated but still every inch of me ached from the fight, the muscles in my arms, the dull throb in my shoulder but it wasn’t the physical pain that kept me awake. It was Kieran’s silence. He’d barely spoken on the drive back to the pack, his jaw locked tight, knuckles white around the steering wheel. Caspian had gone ahead to speak with the council to find out more about the incident, but I could feel his worry humming faintly through the bond, even from miles away. Both of them radiated tension like coiled wire and I was the reason. The pack house was still when we arrived. Most of the wolves were indoors but the place was packed with guards, I knew it was added for my protection. The light from the moon spilled through the hall windows. His wolf energy lingered in the air, hot, electric and impossible to ignore, the guards bowed deeply as we passed. The scent of wet earth grounded me as we both walked up the stairs, I could feel my b
