Skyler raised his eyes lazily. "Tell them to wait in the guestroom. Go and call Jocelyn!"

Yvonne was a cousin sister from Jim's extended family. Skyler would give Jim face.

Yale nodded and left.

Skyler sat in his seat for a moment, threw a mint into his mouth, and got up to go to the guest room.

The moment Skyler entered, he saw Chad kneeling on the ground.

The night before, Skyler had whipped him with the belt. He was beside himself. He fell to his knees and hissed in pain.

Skyler sat on the sofa expressionlessly.

An infatuated look flashed across Yvonne's eyes. She heard that Josie had gone abroad and this man was single again.

She smiled and looked at Skyler. "Skyler, I heard that Chad made you unhappy last night and specially brought him here today to apologize to you!"

Skyler lazily raised his eyelids. "Offering a humble apology, where's the humbleness?"
