Chapter 14

Maddox's POV

Grinning as I walk down the stairs my face lights up when I see Marcus and Zendaya sitting at the table with Addison. Zendaya sees me and quickly stands up and runs over to me.

I quickly scoop her up and squeeze her.

"Goddess auntie I missed you!"

I said practically squeezing the life out of her.

"Oh my Goddess Maddox it's been way too long! Let me get a look at you."

She said as she held me out at arm's length and looked me over.

"Wow! Alpha training really did you some good huh!"

She said then squeezed my arms making me laugh.

"Oh stop flattering me... On second thought, keep going!"

I said smiling causing her to slap me on the chest.

"I'm glad to see Alpha training didn't make you lose your sense of humor."

She said laughing.

"You know I was actually afraid it was going to make you a boring Alpha just like the rest she said as she linked her arm in mine as we walked toward the table.

"Oh never, I'll never be one of those boring alphas! I said laughing.
