Chapter 35

Finn's POV

I was careful pushing the cart down the hall to the office. I made sure everything looked right before knocking on the door.

As soon as I heard the Alpha tell me to come in I quickly open the door and carefully pushed the cart into the room. I was watching the food, making sure nothing spilled as I made my way toward the table.

But as soon as I got next to the table I smelled him. I never thought I would see or smell him again. My heart began to race immediately. I bit my cheek as hard as I could to keep the tears at bay that wanted to fall.

I couldn't afford to start crying in front of the alpha and his beta. That would definitely raise some red flags.

I couldn't help but hope that maybe I was the reason he was here. Maybe he was here for me. I kept glancing at him but he wouldn't even lift his head to look at me. He looked tensed, his hands were clenched tight, he looked angry.
