Chapter 4: My Vicious Owner

Claudia Woods' Point of View

My Vicious Owner

My bidding started at an eye-popping amount, in contrast to the few girls who have been acquired by these men. It never occurred to me that a regular girl like me would start bidding at $20,000 in an underground blackmarket.

Many people started to show their hands while the host was still talking. It started with an old man raising $30,000, and then the folks inside went crazy bidding for the highest possible sum to claim me.

The majority of them were elderly people who looked quite awful due to their enormous bellies. I felt like crying and running away from them, but then I remembered what had happened to the girl.

"One hundred thousand dollars, thirteen thousand five hundred dollars! Twice the value for the price! $200,000!"

The crowd's mood changed from peaceful to hostile. I could see the maniacal lust in everyone's eyes as they fought over me.

Once the bidding reached a million, I could only look down in disbelief at the ridiculous sums being offered for my services. A man in his sixties arrived and placed a bet of nearly a million dollars, which stunned everyone and made us silent.

Even I, myself, couldn't believe the amount of money he just bet. Unbelievable!

He stood with a broad grin on his face. What I was thinking was confirmed when I saw a man who was almost five feet tall, had a beard, white hair, and a massive stomach.

The host announced, "One million bucks! What an eandering amount we had!"

There was no hope for me anymore. Since such a huge sum is beyond my meager means, no one dared to challenge the old man. I tried to shield my body from the man's disgusting gaze while tears flowed down my face and I fiddled with my fingers.

"Well, then. Exactly one million dollars have been paid for the girl sitting next to me. Officially, the bidding has begun."

When a man spoke, the emcee had to pause.

"Ten million, I'll have her!"

As I heard a deep baritone voice inside the arena, my entire world froze. The man who had bet a million dollars heard his deep, strong voice echoing inside and cast a glance at the tall, slim, and gorgeous man who opposed him.

He stood out from the rest by looking like a Greek God. Back on the second level, he was talking to a man who was standing behind him.

As far as I can remember, he is the most stunningly handsome man I have ever seen. He was a long way off from the type of guy I'd envisioned as my potential suitor. I was delighted when my prayers were answered and I was spared from these perilous men.

"Sold to ten million!"

There was a general uproar as people discussed the recent events. He took a wine glass with him as he went down the stairs. As he walked toward us, I stood transfixed by his divine good looks.

Somehow, when I stare at him this closely, I have a sense of familiarity. Maybe I've seen him before, but I can't place it.

"Mr. Cassano, our accountant, will handle this. We'll update her paperwork as you need to sign certain forms, and then the two of you may head home together."

I can't decide if I ought to tag along with him or not. It bothered me that the men were always pulling at me with my own hands. As the man who bought me was in a strong negotiating position and the company had been paid a large sum of money to give him priority over other customers, the signing process took no time at all.

"Mr. Cassano, you did not fail to impress us likewise."

"Manor, you've got great taste."

After the paperwork was signed, I officially became his pet. Instead of laying a finger on me like those other men did, his soldiers simply instructed me to get inside an SUV.

I tried to make sense of what had just occurred whilst inside his SUV. Only yesterday was I meeting with my ex boyfriend when I was kidnapped, put up for auction, and ultimately sold to a man I've never met.

Damn, what a fairy tale love story!

There are a large number of men behind him, all dressed in black, and two more automobiles at the rear and in the front.

"Can you take me b-back home? My family is looking for me…" I decided to shatter the eerie calm that had settled over the car by speaking out.

He had his legs crossed and his arms resting on the window. His fingers were on his chin. A hefty, powerful manager, he appeared.

A chill ran down my spine as the man clicked his tongue and grinned at me.

"I'm not going to spend millions of fucked up dollars to set you free, lady. You should serve me, obey what I say and do your purpose for living." He let forth a thunderous roar of an opinion.

In order to speak, I adjusted my position on the chair. "P-Purpose?"

"You will know once we arrived."

As in, "B-but I want to..." That was when my train of thought became derailed.

He spun his head around and stared me down, his voice as cold as stone. "Enough."

Strange how he could stop me in my tracks with only a phrase. And now I can't tell if I should be grateful or not. I could tell this man wasn't your typical Joe because of how carefully he was guarded. Nobody I met even remotely suggested his existence. When I first set eyes on her, I felt weak in the knees.

There's no trace of deniability of the allure of this man's authority. Absolutely, without a doubt.

Standing in the middle of the house to which I had recently been sent, I stood chewing my bottom lip and fidgeting with my fingers, attempting to adjust. I looked at the man, but instead of trying to strike up conversation again, a maid appeared out of nowhere and cast a sidelong glance in my direction.

I had assumed dealing with and convincing him would be simple that night, but I should have known better than to assume that a man like him wouldn't hesitate to use deadly force against anyone who dared disobey him. In the beginning of my stay here, I attempted to confront him and to plead with him, but neither tactic was successful.
