Five years later, in the Dawson family mansion, Mr. Max Dawson had relocated with his wife and three children, Caden, Samantha, and Alicia, as they moved over to the new mansion.

Caden was Alicia's older brother. He was now 28 years old, and he wondered what was going on with his father. He did not understand his father's kind of business, but he knew that his father had been receiving calls frequently.

"Dad, what's going on with you?" Caden asked his father as they were in the living room of their new house.

Four years ago, Mr. Max had packed out of his old mansion after he could not pay up the debt. He was only able to pay up $2 million out of the $10 million he had borrowed, but he knew that he could not run away from it forever.

Four years had passed, and the T-Group chairman had been silent, which made him extra worried.

"Nothing. I just want to tell you what the problem is that is making me restless. I need the sum of $8 million to clear off my debt," Mr. Max announced to his son and family as he sat on the couch.

"What?!" Caden rose from the couch in shock.

"$8 million? Father, where do we raise such a huge amount of money from, and what exactly did you use it to do?" Caden pressed, and Mr. Max knew that there was no hiding from the truth.

"I used it to do business. I am into this money laundering stuff, and the whole money got liquidized and seized by the government. The fact is, I have been doing it for years, and no problem until Damian Tucker took over the T-Group in this territory," Mr. Max explained.

"What?!" Caden gasped, and his mother and two sisters looked at their father's face in horror.

"Who doesn't know Damian Tucker, the ruthless mafia boss and devil? How can you get into any dealings with him? The man has a high record for frauds, and the government is doing nothing to apprehend him. Now, I heard he bought a new mansion worth billions. How did you get yourself into business with him? He must have scammed you?" Caden said as he paced about the living room. He was annoyed, but his father shook his head and said, "Damian did not scam me. The business failed, and that was all."

"I do not believe that. So, where do we raise the money to pay off the debt, and when is the expiry date to pay up your debt?" Caden was annoyed, and before Mr. Max could speak, they heard a knock on the living room door, followed by the doorbell sound.

"Who is there? Caden, are you expecting anyone?" Mrs. Jennifer asked, as it was past 10 pm at night, so they were certain they were not expecting any guests.

"No, mother. Let me find out," Caden moved over to the door. Due to their discussion, he did not hear the sound of the cars arriving at their home.

However, as he pulled the door open, Damian Tucker stood there, dressed in black, and had his men behind him.

"Who are you, and what do you want?" Caden asked, but Damian smacked his left cheek and sent Caden crashing to the ground.

Damian stepped over Caden and entered the living room, his eyes falling on the families that shook in fear and fell on their knees as they saw him enter.

"Mr. Max Dawson. What a long time no see?" Damian asked as he smirked, looking at Mr. Max, who was shivering, and at Mr. Max's two daughters, who hugged their mother, afraid, as they thought he was a criminal.

Caden winced in pain after Damian smacked him and entered the room.

Damian's aura was very intimidating and spoke volumes of his ruthlessness that had grown over the years.

"What do you want, Damian? I promise to pay off the money. Just give me time," Mr. Max begged, falling on his knees.

"Please, spare my family. I promise to pay you off," Mr. Max pleaded, and Damian replied, "I wish I could, but you have delayed the payment for a long time, and there are other things that I would need the money for." He took out a cigarette, and his assistant lit the end for him to smoke.

"Four years have passed, and don't you think the money should have generated interest by now?" Damian asked, looking at Mr. Max, who was shivering on the ground.

"I know. I swear I am working on raising the money," Mr. Max pleaded as he watched Damian smoke.

"How? By running away with your family? Do you think I do not have my men's eyes on you? You cannot run away. Even if you do, you have your families to pay up the money, including your pretty daughters," said Damian.

Alicia and Samantha shivered in shock. However, Samantha raised her head and peered at Damian's face as she was hugging her mother, afraid of the cold man in the living room. Samantha was shocked to see how handsome Damian looked standing in the living room, but when his blue eyes met hers, she swiftly looked away and hid her eyes.

"Please, spare my two daughters. I promise to pay this year. I am working on another business and would generate the money. Please..." Mr. Max begged, but Damian refused, even though he knew he was the one who had hijacked the last business between them.

"No. I cannot give you any more time. Get him, boys!" Damian ordered, and Mr. Max was stunned.

"Damian, you cannot take me away. Please, just give me this month to pay the money," Mr. Max begged.

"Shut up, old man. I am only tolerating listening to you because of my father. I will spare your tongue, but you should not dare to speak any more nonsensical sermons to me. Your family should pay up the debt. Failure to do so, I will eliminate you for wasting my time. Take him away, Jeff!" Damian ordered, and he left the living room, walking out to his black Maybach, and his men in black pulled the car door open for him. As soon as he got in, he drove off.

"Please, let my father go. I will pay up his debt!" Caden tried to beg, but Jeff kicked him away.

"Stay out of this, loser!" Jeff growled and grabbed Mr. Max's hands, handcuffing the man, and they took him away.

"Mom, what are we going to do? They have taken our Father?" Alicia and her sister asked their mother, but Lady Jennifer shook her head.

"What do you want me to do? Where do I get such a huge amount of money from? Your father caused this upon himself," Lady Jennifer cried, but Alicia replied, "Mom, Damian said he would come for us if we do not pay him up. We are doomed."

"I know. So, where do we start from? You do not earn much as a nurse. Samantha doesn't earn much as a top model, and how about you, Caden? Even as a lawyer, you cannot do anything to save your father? I do not know. I will ask my family for their help. That's all I can do now to see how I can get your father out of this mess." Mrs. Jennifer went back upstairs to her room, crying and leaving Alicia and her siblings speechless.

Daisy knew that she could not force Alicia to talk. She replied, "Alright. Actually, I am thinking of breaking up with Damian.""Why are you telling me this?" Alicia asked calmly, as she did not want Daisy to break her relationship with Damian. Some other nurses looked at them, wondering which Damian Daisy was referring to. But no one chimed in on their conversation."I am just telling you as my friend. My brother told me to stay away from Damian because of offending Maria. And I do not want to get kidnapped," Daisy said, alas, and the next question that Alicia asked her shocked her to the bones."Do you love Damian?" asked Alicia."What? No, well, I do not know. I like him because he is handsome and wealthy. Like who wouldn't like him," Daisy said, her cheeks flushed.Alicia nodded as she packed the file she was reviewing and said, "If you love him, follow your heart."Daisy frowned, not understanding why Alicia was advising her to follow her heart.Remembering how Damian had looked

Alicia's heart beat increased. Why was Damian here in the hospital? Did he want to kidnap her? She thought, but she immediately looked away from him as she did not want to meet his gaze. When Daisy saw Damian looking at her and Alicia, Daisy blushed embarrassedly as she did not know that Damian was interested in Alicia. Though, Daisy knew that her brother had told her to stay away from Damian and that Maria was interested in him.Alicia looked away from Damian and acted like she did not know him."Let's get back to work, Daisy," Alicia said, as she moved back to the nurse's desk to continue with her work.Daisy politely walked up to meet Damian to find out what he wanted and why he was at the hospital. It was past 11 am. Shouldn't he be in his company by now?"Good morning, Sir. What brings you here?" Daisy asked, as she came forward and stood in front of Damian.Damian's cold eyes followed Alicia. "What?" Alicia's eyes widened in shock as she turned to look at her older brother's face and laughed out."Hahaha! Caden, you are joking, right? How can you say that I should marry Damian Tucker? What has come over you?" Alicia asked, looking at her older brother's face. Her smile disappeared, replaced by anger.Caden sighed and said, "I have thought about it, Alicia. Damian is not that bad after all. Dad is involved in fraud, and if you settle for Jonathan, that's the worst.""I do not want to hear it. Do not preach to me about Damian. I don't want him. If Dad doesn't want Jonathan, then I will move on. But clearly not to Damian."Alicia's eyes reddened with tears as he said that. She had loved Jonathan for five years, and it hurt to discover that he had cheated on her. And yet, he looked her in the eyes and said that he loved her.Must he lie to prove his love for her?Caden sighed, knowing that he could not force his sister to be with Damian."I will be out of the state for a week.

Maria stayed locked up in the underground dark room. Her anger boiled as she could not believe that Grant would order her to be locked up."How can Grant lock me here? Take the stupid food away!" Maria kicked the plate of food that Simon had brought for her.Simon liked Maria, but he knew that he could not cross boundaries with her. She was stubborn, and also, he didn’t want to offend Grant by courting his sister."Maria, you have to eat," Simon spoke to her softly, but Maria wrapped her arms around her chest and looked away from him. She turned her back on him, not wanting to meet his gaze.Simon sighed and left to report to Grant, but Grant didn’t care to free Maria. After Simon left the living room, he made his way back to the dark basement to meet Maria."Maria, you have to eat something. Grant refused to grant you freedom for tonight," Simon said as he stood in front of the barred gate separating him from Maria.Maria sighed, turned to face Simon, and asked, "Is it true that Gran

Meanwhile, Mr. Troy and Grant were discussing business in the living room. Even though he wasn’t pleased with his son for sleeping with Samantha, Mr. Troy wasn’t as angry as before, since Grant had agreed to marry Mr. Henry’s daughter. As their conversation progressed, Mr. Troy and Grant glanced upward at the stairs when they heard a woman’s soft voice resonate through the house, “Excuse me, where is the cloth that I am going to wear? Or should I wear yours?”Samantha asked, standing by the railing of the balcony as she peered down at Grant and his father in the living room.Mr. Troy hadn’t taken a proper look at Samantha’s face earlier, as she was looking disheveled when she was first brought into his house. But when he peered at her face now that she had taken her bath, Mr. Troy was stunned at how beautiful and charming Samantha looked—like a top-notch model. Her skin made his blood boil, but he immediately looked away from her chest as she tied the white towel loosely around it.“O

When Grant entered his room, he saw Samantha sleeping on the bed. She looked so beautiful with the way her blonde hair was scattered and covering her face.Grant recalled his father saying that he wanted him to marry Mr. Henry Leonardo's daughter. Grant was aware that his father and Mr. Henry were friends and Mr. Henry had helped their family a lot, even though Jonathan wasn't his friend.Grant shook his head and moved to his closet to have his bath and change clothes, avoiding looking at Samantha's face. He hadn't forgotten that passionate encounter he had with her, and his whole body still desired to have her again. When Grant entered the closet and shut the door, the sound awakened Samantha. She rose to a sitting position, wondering who was in the room. However, seeing the familiar face of the man who had slept with her earlier, she quickly greeted him as she missed home and wanted to reunite with her family."Good evening, Sir," Samantha said, her blue eyes fixed on Grant as he to
