Chapter 3: Discovering His Real Identity

The man stopped teasing his little kitty as he got an urgent phone call, and his subordinate delivered the phone to him. He was a little bit angry because he was interrupted when he was having fun, but he could not scare his little kitty, so he let this matter go and, with his eyes, motioned for his subordinate to take the punishment from Mirror Hall.

After he was done with his phone call, he saw his would-be-in-law come outside after all of the commemorations.

Lilian saw twenty people in black suits and pants standing in front of her house. They were excluding dangerous auras. Their faces were scary, unlike the man standing before her. The man moved away from her unwillingly and started to talk with her father.

They went to her father's study. Lilian wanted to follow them, but she was not allowed inside. After watching the men in Black, she had an idea of who that man could be. So to know the details and confirm her suspicion, she went to her mom, Mrs. Moana Wilson.

Her mom was acting like everything that was happening here seemed very normal. Everything should go this way. Lilian went to her mother and asked,

"Mom, that person is the cruellest mafia king, right? If I am not wrong, he should be.

Evano Lonardo…"

"Yeah, you are right, my dear. He is Evano Lonardo, the master of the Lonardo family. He is the only one who can save us from the mess we created,", Mrs. Monica Wilson said while taking a sip from her tea cup.

Lilian felt like her soul would leave her body at any time. How did their family get involved with a mafia family like the Lonerdo family? She was surprised at the fact that the man who brought her is the cruellest in the world. She doesn't even know how many people were killed by that man.

Maybe that man threatened her parents to give her away, and he must threaten them. Still, she cannot believe that her parents gave her up. She wanted to hear that from her parents. So she asked her mother,

"Mom, do you not love me anymore? Why did you guys sell me to a mafia king? Wasn't I good enough to stay in our sweet home?"

Monica hugged Lilian and sobbed quietly. She also never wanted her daughter to marry someone with whom she wouldn't be in love, but the situation was not good enough. If they cannot even ensure their own safety, then how can they ensure their baby girl's safety?

"My baby girl, don't worry! Evan likes you, and I am sure one day you will like him too. You would be safe with him, and we would be relieved then!", Mrs. Wilson said, wiping off her tears.

"How are you sure that I would be in love with him?" Lilian asked as she waited for that man to come out of her father's study. That man must force her father and mother If that person wants anything in the world, there is nothing he cannot get, including her. She felt angry, very angry.

Before she could get a concrete answer from her mother, she saw Evan come out of her father's study.

"Why did you force my parents? I will die here, then be yours!" Lilian threatened Evan with the kitchen knife. She would rather kill herself than be with a mafia boss whose hands are dirty with who knows how many people's blood. The blood spilled by the Lonardo family can make a big ocean.

"Get ready, little kitty. We will talk about this matter later. It's time to go home, our sweet home,", Evan said to Lilian with a smile, and he went slowly near her. He took her hand and motioned for his two female guards to pack her little kitty's belongings. He is in too good a mood, as he would get his little kitty today. He won't have to be like a thief and visit her every night through the window. She would be legally his today!

"I said I wouldn't go with you! Do you have any problems with your ears? Maybe you have a problem with your brain. You should go and consult a doctor!" Lillian shouted. 

"Stop, Lilian! Don't be rude to your would-be husband. He would protect you well. So get ready and leave our house at this moment!", Mr. Wilson said without thinking twice. It seemed he had already made up his mind to marry his only daughter off to the Lonardo family.

"Baby girl, don't think much. Just believe us. You would be happy with Evan. You will know soon about our difficulties." Mrs. Wilson said it with a straight face. She didn't want to crush the hopes of her baby girl. However, if they kept her with them, they would lose her too.

"I said already, I would never marry you, Evano Leonardo! I won't go anywhere with you! You are just like a blood-sucking monster; why would I marry a monster like you?" Lilian said that came to her mind. She won't leave, no matter what happens. Her golden eyes started to glow with resolve, but she never expected what would happen if she refused a mafia king.

"Dad, Mom, you don't need to be afraid... We can always seek assistance from the authorities... So…" Lilian had to stop before she could finish her words. She felt something cold touching the back of her head.

Evan stared at his Little kitty, who unleashed her claws after she got threatened. He was a bit angry, as his little kitty thought of him as a blood-sucking monster. However, it was not entirely her fault. No one would ever love a Lonardo Mafia king except those gold diggers. That reminded him of his past. He became angry out of nowhere and pointed the gun behind Lilian's head.

At the same time, twenty people pointed their guns towards Lilian's parents. Lilian felt so powerless that she just stared coldly at Evan. Her eyes didn't have any fear, but when her parents were at gunpoint, she started to panic. What should she do now?
