I gently laid red roses upon her resting place, my fingers tracing the engraved letters of her name on the headstone. She left this world a little too early.

She had her whole life ahead of her, dreams and plans stretching out before her. She wanted to see the world with me, and I promised we'd make it happen. I swore we'd take a year off someday, just to travel and make all her dreams come true.
