63| Hollow and Incomplete

Amaira's POV

I woke up with shooting pain in my body. I couldn't even turn around since every part of my body was in excruciating pain. I was struggling to move my left arm and when I did it an agonizing yelp left my mouth.

"Amaira!" Mom dashed over to me as soon as she heard my cry.

"Mom?" I asked in disbelief.

I blinked, scanning the environment to confirm that I was still in the palace of Dominic. What brought her here and how did she come here?

When I tried to sit up again, I let out a terrible yelp. My gaze was drawn downward, and I discovered a plaster wrapped around my left arm. She assisted me in sitting on the bed and positioned a pillow behind my back to ensure that I sat comfortably. Before I passed out, recollections of the incident flashed across my mind. I was rushing down the street blindly when I was stuck in a terrible accident and fell on the road on my stomach where I lost my consciousness.
