Xander's Pov

"I don't like the way he treats that slave." I spoke angrily.

"Let it go brother, you don't have to be worried." Mikael tried to calm me down.

"Your brother is right Mikael, that slave is causing so much division in this family." Father gulped down his glass of wine after speaking.

All the while, Lilith ate quietly at the table, she neither spoke nor raised her head. She was a servant whom Mikael fell in love with.

"Congratulations to you Lilith."

"Thank you." She replied, her eyes not daring to look at me. She knew her place and even if she had been marked by Mikael, she had always remained a servant to me.

"So how's the farm doing?" I heard our father ask Mikael. He had specialised in the farming of substances used to make the hard drugs that Hunter transported.

"Going well father, we seem to be gathering more bags daily than ever."
