Saint's pov

We were already halfway to Matrix's hideout since it was a two-hour ride when I looked at Alessandro like he had just said the most atrocious thing ever.

"What do you mean CJ is unreachable?" I asked him, ringing CJ's line from my phone. He had texted me immediately after he found Jade and I had since been waiting for his call to tell me they were safe somewhere, maybe at the house, at any of the hotels I owned or just any place he could think of.

But no call came in and my racy thoughts and the unsettling feeling I got made me uneasy with every second that passed by. And I had instructed Alessandro to call him.

The same unsettling feeling I got the night of Aunt's death.

His phone was switched off and I immediately rang Jade's line but got the same thing at her end.

Something had to be wrong. And I hoped Matrix hadn't gotten a hold of them. Or even if he had, I hoped they were at the same location as he was, which was the exact place we were going to.
