Ninety nine: The end

Jade's pov.

Marcel explained to Saint about what had happened and how he had to pretend to work with Matrix in order to kill him. He promised he had never given out any of his information and if at all anything, he had helped save me at the party through Suzy and had called me to warn me the night I thought Suzy died. He said he had come too late and since he was sure that he (Saint) was going to save me, he had saved Suzy.

"And the business and route you thrashed?" Saint asked again. I saw he was really trying to understand him because of me and not finish him to the ground. Because the normal Saint would have made Marcel a goner long ago and skipped the whole conversation.

I just stood watching the whole thing with my arms together while Saint's men cleared the bodies on the floor.

Marcel shook his head. "That wasn't me. That was on Gab. I couldn't put him out to you because we used to be close before you killed him."
