Author's POV

“ Saanvi.....! SAANVI.....!" He ran his hands on her back in a soothing way, but she seemed way too lost. She was trembling like a leaf.

“ He is alive........!" he said loudly, loud enough to make her shriek.

She stopped her actions for a minute and followed his lead.

“ Breathe.........one two three......" he counted slowly.

And she followed his voice.

Her breathing became normal.

She calmed down finally.

“ He's alive......he's alive.....?" She was chanting it like a mantra.

Amir felt bad seeing her like this.

She wiped her tears and looked at him with so much emotions in her eyes.

But he was looking at her with pity. She understood it, but believed otherwise.

“ I want to see him. I want to see him now..... take me to his ward....." she asked, smiling at him.

A smile which didn't reach her eyes.

For some odd reasons she felt he was lying to calm her down.
